Abstract: The study sought to investigate administrative autonomy and effective management of universities in Cross River State, Nigeria. One research question was posed and one hypothesis was postulated for the study. The study adopted the ex-post facto research design. The study covered the two public universities in Cross River State Nigeria, namely University of Calabar and Cross River University of Technology. The population of the study comprised all staff (academic and non-academic) in the two public universities in Cross River State, Nigeria. In all, a total of 857 Staff, academic and non-academic in each institution were randomly selected as sample for the study. The instrument for data collection was a 30 item questionnaire titled "Administrative Autonomy and Management.....

Abstract: Reflection was the best competence for students to recognize themselves in learning environment, which helped students apply their knowledge flexibly in different circumstances. In Vietnam, engineering students could understand their knowledge and practice well in the experimental room in university or in the factory of company while they were studying. After graduating, they did not focus on the existed skills in themselves yet and they did not know how to apply the knowledge or skills effectively in the new circumstance. They, therefore, had not been satisfied with the companies' needs yet. The reason was come from that using reflection of students, which was not.....

Abstract: The study investigated test-taking strategies used before and during test and the academic performance of Secondary School Students in Chemistry tests and also the relationship between test-taking strategies before test and students' academic performance in Chemistry. Descriptive survey design was adopted. The population of the study consisted of all Senior Secondary Chemistry students with the sample size of 288 SSIII Chemistry students which were selected from 18 public schools in six Local Government Areas using multistage sampling procedure. The research instruments used are Test-taking Strategies Questionnaire (TSQ) and Chemistry Achievements Test (CAT) in which validity was ascertained by Experts in Science Education and reliability of the instruments TSQ and CAT were determined through Cronbach Alpha and Split half with the co-efficients of 0.74 and 0.85.....

Abstract: Pragmatics is one of linguistics studies that are quite attractive to learn more about. There are many aspects of pragmatics; one of them is dealing with speech acts. Speech acts is the study of intended meaning the utterances speaker or writer. Speech acts consist of many categories; one of them is directive speech act. This paper aimedto classify and described the types and the meanings of directive speech acts uttered by characters in "Nanny McPhee" movie. The data were collected from the utterances of the characters in Nanny McPheemovie by using participant observation method. The methods of collecting the data in this research are watching the original movie, note taking the entire directive speech act formed in the movie. Abstract: The continued existence of poverty, high rates of crimes, unemployment and other social problems are indicators which shows that the aims of education generally has not been achieved. This paper discusses the need to restructure Science education to reflect entrepreneurship so that we can hopefully have graduates that can be self-reliant. This is because the present science education has not achieved its aim of making graduates self-reliant. Entrepreneurship education, if introduced intoscience education will produce graduates who can effectively manage private businesses. In this paper, the concept of entrepreneurship education was explained and advantages, challenges and solution to the problems militating against entrepreneurship education were outlined. The paper also gave an insight into what science education will look like when entrepreneur ship education is included into secondary school curriculum. This situation applies to the aspects of science education. Suggestions and recommendations were also forwarded

Abstract: The study aimed at establishing the awareness and proficiency in technology integration for English language teaching among secondary school teachers in Nsukka LGA. To meet this aim, the study adopted a descriptive survey design. And was guided by three research questions. Thirty (30) English Language teachers, sampled out of the total population in the study area, were used as the respondents. Observation check list, unstructured interview and questionnaire copies were used for data collection. The data collected were analysed using mean, standard deviation and percentage. The findings of the study amongst others indicates that the proficiency of teacher in utilising technology is in a fairly high extent. Based on the findings and implications of the study, recommendations were made particularly on the training and re-training of teachers in relation to utilization of technologies; and provisions and maintenance of the technologies for optimum integration.

Abstract: Emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD) in learners obstruct effective teaching and learning. However, the perceptions that educators have towards learners with EBD may or may not hinder the teaching and learning of these learners. This paper aimed at investigating how regular primary school teachers view the inclusion of learners with EBD in the general primary schools in Chiwoko zone, Lilongwe district, Malawi. The sample of the study consisted of 80 primary teachers from five different primary schools. The respondents completed a questionnaire with Likert-scale questions and a focus group discussion. The study findings showed that teachers had an overall positive perception towards the inclusion of learners with EBD in regular schools. Findings from the focus group discussions.....

Abstract: The study aimed at identifying the aspects of the negative behavior among students of the Islamic

Abstract: This study aims to determine the sense of security of elementary school children in Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The survey was conducted in 56 elementary schools with a sample of 1678 (868 boys and 810 girls). The number of such samples is taken in the low class (class I, II and III). A sample of 226 teachers (40 male and 186 female teachers) spread across 7 sub-districts in Kupang Regency. The study was conducted with a mix method (quantitative and qualitative). Sampling of children in this study using the Slovin formula for an error rate of 2%, so that the sample of children taken in this study were 1678 children. Of this amount the sampling was done using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. Furthermore, samples will be taken per school, per class and per gender proportionally and randomly so that the number of boys is 868 people and girls are 810 people.
