Abstract: Change has been the only constant event in the world; rapid change from the social structure of the society to the meager social institutions therein. Over the years, academic libraries have witnessed tremendous change also. From change in the way the libraries operate to even change in the learning environment provided by academic libraries. The focus of this research is to look at the impact of space in aiding study capacity and invariably, success of its users. Overtime, one aspect that has not been given much needed attention in the teaching and learning process is the impact of space in fostering teaching/learning capacity. This paper examines the impact of Academic Learning Space on University of Jos Library Users. Data was collected through the circulation unit via their two hourly daily.....

Abstract: We are firmly convinced that a large part of Marine Science studies (Biology, Ecology, Ethology, etc.) cannot be learnt only in the classroom, even at University level, but it must be done "in the field" and in equipped laboratories where students can use and adopt instruments and techniques currently employed for research in the different study areas. In this light, our Institute has organized for thirty years courses and other research activities for students from schools of all orders and grades, including Universities, based on lessons and the sampling of materials directly along the shores of our coastline. The material collected by the students is then studied and analysed in the Institute own laboratories and aquariums. Our photographic library provides an educational aid, covering a variety of subjects including systematics of marine plant and animal life, ethology, comparative anatomy, physiology.....

Abstract: The present study compares the achievement in science among higher secondary school students in Mizoram and Meghalaya. Data is collected randomly from a sample of six hundred (600) higher secondary students, 300 from Mizoram, and 300 from Meghalaya. Results indicate that majority of the students have an average achievement in science and the students of Mizoram have higher achievement in science than the students of Meghalaya. The results further showed that male students were higher than female students in science achievement in both the states. The overall achievement in science was moderate for both the states, which calls for more considerable attention from parents and teachers for better results.
