Abstract: The study examined the impact of a training program on enhancing postgraduate students' research skills in preparing a research proposal. The nature of the skills required to prepare a research proposal were first determined using a questionnaire. A training program for improving such skills was then constructed and seven postgraduate students in the field of the curriculum and instruction methods of Arabic language participated in the program. The participants took a test before and after receiving the training. It was found that participants' relevant research skills improved between the pretest and posttest, indicating that an appropriate training program could contribute.........

Abstract: Line balancing is an effective tool to improve the throughput of assembly line while reducing bottleneck, cycle time. Line balancing is the problem of assigning operation to workstation along an assembly line, in such a way that assignment is optimal in some sense. This project mainly focuses on improving overall efficiency of single model assembly line by reducing the bottleneck activities, cycle time and distribution of work load at each work station by line balancing, using line balancing techniques mainly work sharing method .The methodology adopted includes calculation of cycle time of process, identifying bottleneck activities, calculating total work load on station and distribution of work load using code block..........

Abstract: This comparative educational interventional study was conducted at Rajiv Gandhi Medical College, Kalwa, Thane, Maharashtra, India to assess the difference in the marks obtained by students in traditional viva-voce (TVV) and objectively structured viva-voce (OSVV) examination formats and to evaluate the perception of students regarding OSVV. After obtaining institutional approvals and written informed consent, participating second-year MBBS students (n=62) were oriented about OSVV format. Assessment as per TVV format followed that using the OSVV format (both out of 20 marks) on the same day. Feedback comprising nine closed-ended questions (Likert scale) and one open-ended question was obtained from the participants. The marks obtained were statistically analysed and feedback was evaluated..........

Abstract: The multiple-choice questions exam is, nowadays, widely used especially in large-scale language testing. However, many people criticize this kind of tests as lacking validity and not fully ensuring reliability, as well as because of its negative backwash effect on foreign language teaching and learning. This article is divided into two main sections. Section one takes a look at the concepts of validity and reliability in relation to testing, more exactly as they are approached in an MCQ exam. It also presents some general views on the advantages and disadvantages of the MCQ mode of testing. The second section reports on an empirical research into the attitudes of Moroccan EFL university students towards MCQ tests. The study, which is of an exploratory ex-post facto design..........

Abstract: With the current Vietnamese teaching context, it can be challenging for teachers to assess students in large classes. Rubric, which makes assessment quick and efficient, is a promising way to solve this problem. Not only is rubric helpful to teachers, but students can be greatly benefited from it as well. The study was conducted from January to May, 2017 in Can Tho, to examine the two main aspects including (1) students' perceptions toward using Analytic Rubric for their self-assessment, and (2) some problems students encounter when they use the rubrics to assess themselves. The study involved 98 students from a high school in Vietnam. The research follows a descriptive approach with a thirty..........

Abstract: Understanding brings about the realization of goals and objectives of the schools which can be achieved through effective communication. In the teaching-learning situation, mutual interaction must occur between the teacher and the students in form of meaningful communication. However, teachers are faced with a lot of barriers which affect the process of imparting the necessary skills, ideas, attitudes, knowledge and the right values in the students. Gender factor is seen in this paper as one of the barriers affecting effective communication in the school and this has to do with the unequal treatments of boys and girls by their teachers in the classroom teaching, which teachers at times are not aware of. Gender differences in communication styles need to be checked for teaching-learning process to achieve its purposes..........

Abstract: This study determined the effect of Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) on students' interest and achievement in physics. Two research questions were posed and two hypotheses were formulated and tested. A quasi experimental design specifically the non-randomized control group design involving two intact classes was used. The sample of the study consist of 97 senior secondary school two (SSII) physics students from two government owned secondary schools drawn using purposive sampling techniques from 63 government schools that offer physics in Imo State. One of the two schools used was assigned to experimental group( CAI) and the other one to the control group (LM). Two instruments, the Physics Achievement Test (PAT) and the physics Interest Inventory (PII) were developed and validated..........
