Abstract: A wide variety of Self-Monitoring of Blood Glucose (SMBG) test systems enter the Indian market from various parts of the world. Blood Glucose Test Strip form the key component of an SMBG test system. The batches of Blood Glucose Test Strips that are repeatedly and periodically imported in India for use with these devices often come without any certified account of their performance aspects as 'precision' and 'accuracy'; from source. Even though they look like insignificant bits of plastic, their performance plays a very important role in monitoring the glucose control of patients with Diabetes. Hence, there is a need for monitoring and regulating the quality of these products. The Biochemical Kit Laboratory (BKL) of National Institute of Biologicals (NIB) that functions under the Ministry of Health..............

Abstract: Daily use of an efficient anti-plaque compound can be very beneficial in plaque control. Some was assessed for its antibacterial activity Herbal extracts have received special attention because of being non-chemical and non-synthetic, and they have been long used in traditional medicine bay leaves aqueous extract was assessed for its antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans using agar diffusion technique and the adherence to tooth surface in comparison to chlorhexidine gluconate in vitro was also studied The results showed that bay leaves aqueous extract exhibit good..........

Abstract: The elevated global trend of terrorism needs to be smothered at childhood. Scientists are investigating for correlation between aggressiveness, pre-social personality traits, second digit & fourth digit ratio and prenatal androgen activity. Methods & Results: 144 children of 9-12 years are chosen randomly including 48 girls (9-11years). These samples were properly (age-wise) classified and grouped to assess all anthropometric and cognitive data. Verbal aggression and hostility of senior boys are found significantly correlated with their palm length and fourth digit length (4D); similarly for junior boys, second digit.............

Abstract: Aqueous leaves extract of Vernonia amygdalina are used in different parts of Africa for treatment of certain uncomplicated ailments, of which hyperglycaemia is one of the ailments. This study was carried out to evaluate the antidiabetic effect of leaf, stem-bark and root methanolic extracts of Vernonia amygdalina for antidiabetic activity in streptozotocin induced diabetic rat model.Extraction was done by Soxhlet method. The rats were divided into groups and a dose of 2000 mg/kg body weight of extracts administered for acute toxicity. The rats were observed for toxic effects for 14 days.............

Abstract: The presented work involved the preparation of polymers homo and copoly containing heterocyclic (creatinine) derived from Maleic anhydride. The first step involved the preparation of maliamic acidcreatinine derivative,by reaction of maleic anhydride withcreatinine. The second step includes the polymerization of the prepared homo andcopolypolymersby free radical polymerization using (BPO) as initiator with heating. The third step involves study of degredation analysis of polymer in different at 370C using UV-Visible spectroscopy ,thermal analysis andSwelling studies . polymers were characterized by softening points , with other physical properties, FTIR, H1-NMR spectra, and thermal analysis (DSC),screening of the antimicrobial activity of the prepared polymers was evaluated against 3 types of bacteria.

Abstract: Plant galls are manifestations of growth and of differentiation induced on a plant by animal or plant parasite. Madhucalongifolia (Koenig) J.F. Macb.is widely distributed in tropical mixed deciduous forests in India in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and Rajasthan. Leaf galls of Madhucalongifolia induced by insects of order diptera and hymenopter present unique pattern of chemical perturbations which normally do not occur in normal morphogenesis of the involved organ. The plant – pathogen interaction leads to production of increased secondary.........

Abstract: Brushite or calcium hydrogen phosphate dehydrate is commonly found in urinary stones. In the present study the single diffusion gel growth technique was used to grow brushite crystals in silica hydro gel medium. It provides controlled environment to simulate the growth of brushite containing urolithiasis under static conditions in the presence of healthy human urine. In this in vitro study, the supernatant solution containing calcium chloride was used to grow brushite crystals and considered as control. To study the effect of urine on the growth of brushite crystals, different volume.......

Abstract: Background: Prostate is a compound tubuloalveolar exocrine gland of the male reproductive system in most mammals. It considers differ among species anatomically chemically and physiologically. Prostate cancer also known as carcinoma of the prostate, is the development of cancer in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system .Most prostate cancers are slow growing; however, some grow relatively quickly. Testosterone in the presence of a slow-growing prostate cancer is assumed to increase its growth rate. However, the association between testosterone supplementation and the development of prostate cancer is unproven..............

Abstract: Hair is the most frequently found trace evidence in the crime scene. It assists in establishing a relation between crime scene, a victim and a criminal. This study was carried out at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences. The present study is carried out to find the most reliable quantitative parameter for differentiation of the human hair from the animal hair. Hair samples from various species of animal and various sites of human hair were considered. In present study the diameter, medullary index, Color of the human and different animal.............

Abstract: Blood is a highly complex mixture of cells, enzymes, proteins, and inorganic substances. Blood is one of the important biological evidence commonly encountered by the investigators at the scene of violence crime. Blood and blood stains are a very important entity in medico legal practices as factors like source of blood and their stains help in solving the crime of violence, accidental cases. This study was carried out at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, of Allahabad. In the present study, 3 different sample of blood were collected from central pathology lab and 6 different type of Iron sample were also been collected from the local shops of Allahabad............

Abstract: Tamoxifen is an effective anticancer drug. It's a hormonal treatment against estrogen which is necessary for the growth of cancer cells. This study was conducted to evaluate the negative effects of Tamoxifen on some physiological and histological. Use for this purpose 32 rats of the strain Sprague dawley albino rat and divided into 4 equal groups. 3 groups were given different doses (30, 40, 50)mg/kg body weight of TAM 3 times a week for 8 weeks as well as control group that was injected with physiological solution (normal saline 0.9%). At the end of dosage duration, the blood was collected for the purpose of studying some Biochemical parameters (Liver Functions). The results of........
