Abstract: New benzotriazepine derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against human breast cancer cell line MCF-7, The new derivatives were found to inhibit cancer growth at three different concentrations with derivative 2-((4-(dimethylamino) benzylidene) amino)-3H- benzo[e] [1,2,4] triazepin-5(4H)-one (IIIo) as the most potent with IC50 value 49,9 μg/ml compared to doxurubucin 3.83 μg/ml.

Abstract: Syphilis is one of the most important disease transmit sexually by Treponema pallidum. It can also be transmitted by blood transfusion or vertically. Screening blood widely used and necessary to prevent several blood borne microbial infection among general population especially in blood donations, before surgery and before marry. Objectives: To determine the infection rate of Treponema pallidum among couples planning to marry in Baqubah city. Patients and methods: A cross-sectional study of 15135 couples planning to marry with age 20-70 years, attending to Baqubah Teaching Hospital- Blood bunk, Iraq, during the period from first of January 2017 till end of December 2017. All subjects.......

Abstract: Background: Diabetes mellitus is one of the metabolic disorders associated with high blood sugar levels. Utilization of natural drugs among patients under diabetes mellitus pharmacotherapy is across the board. Objective: To examine the pk-pd(pharmacodynamic-pharmacokinetic) interactions of lycopene and gliclazide in animal models and to understand the safety & effectiveness. Methods: Single and multiple dose interaction studies were carried out in normal rats, diabetes induced rats and rabbits to evaluate the effect of lycopene on the gliclazide activity. Blood samples from the study animals were used for the estimation insulin and glucose levels by using radioimmunoassay method and chemistry analyzer (automated) respectively. Homeostasis model assessment used for determination...........

Abstract: The increasing incidence of open fractures has led to higher infection rates leading to higher incidence of non-union and morbidity. Antibiotic impregnated PMMA (polymethyl methacrlyte) bone cement, (in the form of bead pouch) is used to deliver higher concentrations of local antibiotics to prevent bone infection in open fractures. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of combination antibiotic impregnated bone cement in infected open fractures. This study shows that local antibiotic elution through antibiotic impregnated bone cement is more potent and helps in controlling the infection. Combination antibiotics added to bone cement are more effective against a wide spectrum of bacteria than single antibiotic (gentamicin as provided by manufacturer).

Abstract: Obesity and diabetes are major public health problems in developing countries in the 21st century. The fundamental cause is imbalance between energy intake on one hand and energy expenditure on the other hand which is attributable to westernized lifestyle and decreased physical activity. This study was designed to assess the relationship between body mass index and fasting blood glucose of adult Nigerians in Makurdi metropolis, North Central Nigeria. . A total of five thousand one hundred and twenty participants (3326 males (65%) and 1794 females (35%) were randomly recruited for this study. The following measurements were taken -weight, height, and fasting blood sugar. Results showed mean values to be as follows, weight (68.8±0.2 kg), height (1.61±0.002 m2), BMI (26.42±0.08kg/m2) and FBG (6.7±0.03) for male participants compared to female with weight 70.1±0.3kg) height (1.62±0.002m2), BMI(26.9±0.1kg/m2),FBG(6.7±0.4mmol/L)Fasting blood sugar showed no significant differences...........

Abstract: Anti-microbial resistance patterns can vary regionally and even among different hospitals within the same community. Infections are the most common reasons for patients to seek medical advice and for antibiotics to be prescribed. Inappropriate or indiscriminate use of antibiotics can increase the cost of care by increasing drug cost, increasing toxicity, increasing resistance, and increasing laboratory costs. Prophylactic antibiotic use in some hospitals remains a problem. Antibiotics are prescribed unnecessarily and empirically for complaints where no antibiotic is required or where culture and sensitivity results could be safely awaited. The key action by the clinician should be the provision of a specimen for accurate identification of the offending pathogen by means of culture and sensitivity method..........

Abstract: The stress incontinence is caused by internisic sphincter deficiency, or weakness of pelvic floor muscle, which is divided into three stamey grades according to severity, urodex is used to mild to moderate grades. The study is started in February 2017 to July 2018; this study was done on 15 patients in private outpatient clinic, 12 of them presented with GSI and other three patients presented with mixed incontinence. for those patient whom complaining from mixed incontinence were treated with an anticholinergic medication (used to oxybutynin tab 5mg 1x2), the diagnosis is confirmed with cystometry, the other of patients with urodex injection which are containing 1cc in four site (12,3,6,9)............

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the aluminium tolerance of fifteen strains of wheat. Aluminium (Al) toxicity is one of the major limiting factors for wheat production on acid soils. It inhibits root cell division and elongation, thus reducing water and nutrient uptake, consequently resulting in poor plant growth and yield. The studies involved field work where wheat was grown in three locations (Chepkolel, Moiben and Kaptagat) arranged in RCBD. Tiller numbers, spikelets number, main tiller height, main head length, seed yield and 1000 kernel weight measured. Physiological test was then carried out using Magnavaca (nutrient) solution in the laboratory to determine length of root growth. Where sufficient number of wheat seeds was set to germinate on trays between germination papers moistened.........

Abstract: The crustaceans are commercially important valuable sea food contributing directly to support the mankind. The data was collected for decapod crabs from the Akkaraipettai landing centre of Nagapattinam . Nearly 12 varieties of commercially important species were identified during the study period from January 2017 to December 2017 in Nagapattinam coastal area. The collected data were subjected to study the Species diversity (Shannon diversity index), Richness (Margalef Richness Index ) and Evenness (Pielou's Evenness index) to assess the diversity of crab species. The calculated index values showed that the highest Shannon's diversity value observed was -0.1173 (March........
