Abstract: Risk management is an important tool for managing business activities in financial institutions and it is widely use in the corporate world to manage business crisis. Risk management in financial institution has greater impact not only on the financial institution but also on the economic growth and sustainable development. Thus, internal control system is use manage risk and to mitigate against business losses and liquidation of business. On this basis, the study seeks to assess the effect of internal control system on risk management of firms in Nigeria.
