Abstract: This study uses investment interest as the depend variable and investment knowledge, expectations return and risk perception as independent variables. All data used are primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires via Google form. Researcher used purposive sampling method to select respondents to be used as research data. The total number of respondents obtained was 34. The data were processed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques and using SPSS tools. The results of this study indicate that (1) investment knowledge has a positive and significant effect on investment interest in the capital market for STIE YKPN student, (2) expectations return have a positive and significant effect on investment interest in the capital market for STIE YKPN student, and (3) perception risk does not affect the interest in investing in the capital market for STIE YKPN student

Abstract: Roads provide mobility of goods and people from one point to another and are important for economic progress of any nation. In ensuring that roads continue to offer the desired utility within its design life, countries invest substantial financial resources for road maintenance. Road maintenance thus becomes an essential component of roads asset management. Abstract: In Kenya, despite many efforts geared towards improving the service delivery of the judiciary, it is evident that many cases take long to be adjudicated; there have been some instances of case files missing, claims of unfair trials and judgments and an increase in the cost of settling cases. Abstract: The aim of this paper is to provide the role and effectiveness of using the Technology Incubation Programme (TIP) under the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) in supporting the Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I) policy of the Nigerian government. The study used available information on TIP and the ST&I policy documents. After analyzing the information in the documents and the achievements made by similar incubation programmes in other countries, appropriate measures which can be put in place to enhance the dividends of technology incubation in the Nigeria's ST&I policy were recommended. Therewith lies responsibilities of the Federal Government and the Ministry of Science and Technology as well systematic reforms and increased responsibility of the National Board for Technology Incubation which are to be geared to focus on R&Ds, their diffusion and assimilation into the Nigerian economy..

Abstract: Banking is an important financial institution in the present global economic system. Despite touching each and every part of our lives, conventional banks have still been viewed solely as financial institution, which should concern themselves with only financial matters. Ethics and morality have not entered the equation. Interest which is the backbone of the conventional banking system is not allowed in religion of Islam. This need is fulfilled by the evolution of Islamic banking or participatory banking or interest free banking. This paper attempts to analyze perception of NRIs towards Islamic banking with special reference to Dubai.

Abstract: Cooperative saccos face diverse challenges that undermine their financial performance. To date, the cooperative sector in Kenya still experiences many challenges just like other businesses. Moreover, governance of cooperative societies has constrained their ability to reach full potential. Amongst the challenges faced include constant wrangles, corruption and mismanagement resulting in poor service delivery and becoming bankrupt. These constant wrangles are because of poor governance systems amongst the saccos. The poor governance challenges include members receiving less money than the loans approved by authorities, poor management of loan portfolio, appraisal of loan applicants, and subsequent loan monitoring. Other aspects include poor governance and limited transparency in the management of cooperatives, lack of capacity in management, market intelligence and market research, weak capital base and infrastructure weaknesses, high deployment and maintenance costs, inadequate financing or adoption of financing models among others.
