Abstract: Background: As organizations pivot to hybrid working in the post COVID world, IT industry is predicted to be the top industry for remote workers in 2023. Yet, research is scanty on what factors contribute to productivity and job satisfaction for employees working for home. In order to maximize the benefits of working remotely, ways must be found to ensure that employees, both men and especially women, remain productive and connected while not being overburdened, and herein lies the relevance of the present investigation. This study examines how job satisfaction and employee productivity is affected by three job characteristics of working from home: home workspace suitability, digital social support and monitoring mechanisms, among men and women employees in the IT sector in India.......
