Abstract: Emotional intelligence is currently gaining attention in the human resource management circles as a management tool. The management of employees' emotions positively and significantly affects the employees' commitment. The public sector in Kenya has a challenge with employee commitment yet a committed work force is very critical to the realization and actualization of the 2030 Vision.
