Abstract: Background: There is a consensus in the literature that the characteristics of top executives are positively associated with organizational performance, however, studies are based on the context of corporations. But how does this occur in contexts where managerial discretion is controlled by rules, as in the case of credit unions? Based on the Upper Echelons Theory background, we looked for this gap.
Materials and Methods: 96 senior executives were evaluated. Social Skills Inventory (SSI2) and Reasoning Battery Tests (BPR-5) were used, as well as a questionary about the market and financial performance satisfaction........
Key Words: Assertive conversation. Self-control. Social resourcefulness. Verbal Reasoning. Top Management Team.
