Abstract: This article reports the results from systematic research on business models at the base of the pyramid (BOP) using banana farming waste as a raw material. Bananas are cultivated at a very large scale, and it leads to a high quantity of waste. The waste generated by banana farming activities includes pseudostems, leaves, and peels. It is thus evident that the opportunities for further value addition and business model development that meets the need of the poorest have been highlighted through the exploration of the banana farming waste and its potential uses. This review aims at identifying potential inclusive business models in banana farming for the base of the pyramid and initiatives through which banana farming waste could be utilized in the production........
