Abstract: Odontomas are hamartomatous malformations of odontogenic origin. During tooth developmental stages any defect in the maturation phase of morpho-differentiation leads to such anomalies. Odontomas are benign, slow-growing and nonaggressive clinically asymptomatic and are diagnosed on routine radiological examination. In our case report an asymptomatic hard growth in the upper right anterior region of the maxilla associated with impacted canine in a 16-year-old female was reported , panoramic radiograph revealed amorphous mass of calcified material with the radiodensity of tooth structure............

Abstract: Aims and Objectives: Cerebral ischemic stroke is life-threatening and debilitating neurological disease, it is the third leading cause of death in the world. Studies have shown that there is a close relationship between carotid artery stenosis and ischemic cerebral vascular disease. Doppler study is valuable to assess the cause, location, extent and severity of carotid artery disease. The gray scale imaging provides information about the location. By combining the gray scale findings with colour Doppler characteristics, severity of stenosis is obtained. This study is done to assess the carotid arteries with the help of colour Doppler sonography and to correlate with CT findings of cerebrovascular accidents..............

Abstract: Aim: The purpose of this study is to analyse marginal sealing ability of bulk fill flowable composite resins. Materials and Methods: A standard class V cavity (3 mm mesiodistal width, 3 mm occlusogingival height, and 1.5 mm axial depth) will be prepared at the cementoenamel junction (CEJ) on the facial surface of eighty human teeth with a 0.5 mm wide 45° beveled enamel margin and a 90° cervical margin; the gingival margin will be placed 1.0 mm below the CEJ. The specimens were restored with different flowable composite resins:Surefil SDR flow (Dentsply, York, PA, USA), TetricEvo flow bulk fill (Ivoclarvivadent), Filtek bulk fill (3M ESPE), X-tra base (voco)................

Abstract: New science and technologies are making their way into all aspects of dental practice and have changed traditional approaches to diagnosis, risk assessment, prevention and many other procedures. The impact of nanotechnology on the field of dentistry is creating major changes with respect to improvement of health, diagnosis and proper use of natural resources. Nanotechnology has its greatest effect on restorative dentistry by contributing to the enhancement of previously established clinical systems with the help of nanostructures such as nanoparticles, nanotubes, nanorods, quantum dots, dendrimers, nanospheres, nanofibers, etc............

Abstract: Menarche is often considered as a significant milestone in the life of a woman. However, in developing countries like India, menstruation is still recognized as a taboo which prevents adolescent girls from getting appropriate scientific knowledge related to physiology of menstruation and menstrual hygiene from her society or surroundings. Lack of formal education and poor socioeconomic condition leads to inappropriate practices of menstrual hygiene with adverse outcomes. A community based cross-sectional comparative study was undertaken among 160 rural and urban women aged 10-60 yrs with the help of a pre-designed, semi structured schedule to assess and compare the menarcheal knowledge and practices associated with menstrual hygiene............

Abstract: Introduction: Juvenile nasal angiofibromas (JNA) are benign tumours occurring in adolescent males. The aetiology of these masses has not been defined clearly. These stand apart of the sinonasal masses due to the high vascularity and non-encapsulated growth that might extend to the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, pterygopalatine fossa, infratemporal fossa, orbit, sphenoid sinus, and middle cranial fossa.1 Objectives: 1) To evaluate the percentage of JNA amongst all the nasal masses. 2) To categorisethe clinical features and socio-demographic profiles of JNA and other nasal masses...........

Abstract: Ewing's sarcoma, a malignant tumor, rarely occurs in children younger than 12 years of age. Although it may appear in any bone, it is more common in the axial skeleton, rarely involving the jaws (1 to 2 % incidence, mostly in the mandible). The most common symptoms are pain and swelling in the affected area. History of trauma often is reported. We report a rare case of metastatic Ewing's Sarcoma in posterior mandible of a 10 year old female patient.

Abstract: Acute flank pain is a common presentation in patients attending casualty/OPD and is representation of many diseases. Urolithiasis is appears to be the most frequent cause of frequent cause of flank pain, affecting 3% to 5% of the population in urbanized countries1. Urolithiasis is estimated to have a lifetime incidence of 5-12 percent usually presenting in patients 30-60 years of age and is approximately three times more common in males1, 2 and out of these has recurrence rate approximate 50 %3 It is; therefore, important to address this problem after making early diagnosis by using traditional...........

Abstract: The occurrence of bundle branch block in acute myocardial infarction is important because it indicates that infarction may be extensive and may result in cardiac failure or death; however, the presence of bundle branch block is also important because it indicates seriously jeopardized AV conduction which could result in sudden extremely slow heart rates or asystolic arrest. The aim of the study was to study clinical characteristics in patients of acute coronary syndrome with bundle branch block and to assess the association of bundle branch block with major cardiovascular events or complications and to determine in-hospital mortality............

Abstract: Introduction:Today the world is witnessing a virtual epidemic of drug abuse. The incidence of substance abuse varies from place to place. It is difficult to estimate the numbers of drug abusers to formulate a comprehensive approach to deal with the issue primarily because it involves a hidden population that does not seek help and hence remains under-reported. Objectives: The present study was conducted to estimate the prevalence of substance abuse among senior school students in a rural area of West Bengal, to assess their awareness about the harmful effects of abusive substances and willingness of substance-abusing students to quit the habit.............

Abstract: Infertility is defined as inability of couple to achieve conception after one year of unprotected coitus. The purpose of investigation is to assess chance of achieving pregnancy and to identify treatable factors. In spite of many investigatory tools available, endometrial histology is a sensitive indicator of ovarian function. Aim of the study is to determine cause of infertility by morphological pattern of endometrium, to assess importance of luteal phase defect and to determine incidence of Tuberculous endometritis as an etiological factor. Study was carried out in the Pathology Dept............
