Abstract: A total of 52 cases of displacement of lens are studied from out patients Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital, Hyderabad with special reference to the cause of dislocation, associated ocular complications and management. The study was conducted from november 2014 to November 2016.Among the 52 cases studied 29 males and 23 females are present. The incidence is more in males probably due to more exposure to trauma in view of the outdoor life and occupation undertaken by males..Age wise distribution showed maximum incidence in theseventh decade of life. Out of 52 patients 16 patients are from this group constituting 30.7% of total incidence. The next common age group being the sixth decade with total of 13 cases falling in this............

Abstract: Myofascial Pain Dysfucntion Syndrome is a heterogeneous group of signs and symptoms that affect the jaw joint and/or the chewing musculature. Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) is defined as pain that originates from myofascial trigger points in skeletal muscle. It is prevalent in regional musculoskeletal pain syndromes, either alone or in combination with other pain generators like Temporomandibular disorders (TMD). The appropriate evaluation and management of myofascial pain is an important part of musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and regional axial and limb pain syndromes.............

Abstract: In the present era, dental implant is most recent and promising treatment modality for tooth replacement. However it's awareness is disputable. Hence, the aim of the study was to evaluate the knowledge of patients and private dental practitioners (PDP's) towards implant dentistry and how the dentists assess, acquire and integrate this into everyday practice. Epidemiological study was conducted among patients who attended the OPD of MGV's KBH Dental College & Hospital and private dental practitioners in Nashik. A total of 472 patients and 241dentists were given a separate self-administered structured questionnaire and was asked to record their responses. Simple percentage evaluation was done for the responses obtained...........

Abstract: Ovarian tumours are responsible for significant morbidity and mortality in women. Relative frequency of these tumours show geographical variations and many of them are symptomless till they are clinically advanced. The present cross-sectional study focuses on various histological patterns of ovarian tumours, their distribution in different age groups and to compare it with other studies in patients admitted at a teaching hospital in Imphal. The benign, borderline and malignant tumours were 81.5%, 6.5% and 12.0% respectively. Surface epithelial tumours account for majority of the cases (65.3%), followed by germ cell tumours (33.1%). Serous cystadenoma was the most common............

Abstract: Tooth agenesis is the most prevalent craniofacial congenital anomaly in humans. The term refers to an isolated disorder in the absence of non-dental phenotypes but is also used to describe the manifestation of missing teeth in syndromes. The affected individuals suffer from compromised masticatory functions and have decreased quality of life. Discerning the genetic etiology of tooth agenesis not only improves our understanding of normal tooth development but also provides a fundamental basis for developing potential therapeutic strategies for this anomaly. To date, MSX1, Pax9, Axin2, Eda, And Wnt10a have been established as candidate genes associated with non-syndromic tooth agenesis. This article reviews the recently discovered genes involved in dental agenesis , and provides an update on the aetiological factors underlying this common malformation.

Abstract: Overall incidence of Proximal humerus fracture is about 5-6 % which contributes to 45% of total humerus fractures. Though undisplaced fractures can be managed conservatively , nearly 51% of these fractures are displaced and need surgical treatment for early return to daily activities. Various surgical options are available. Our study is a prospective study including 41 patients with proximal humerus fractures. Fractures were classified using Neer's classification as 2, 3 and 4 parts and locking plates ( Proximal Humerus Internal Locking System (PHILOS) & Locking Proximal Humerus Plate (LPHP)) were used for fracture fixation using Deltopectoral approach............

Abstract: This study was conducted on 150 subjects, who participated in 'the comprehensive clinical dental hygiene management program' for 10 months (Mar-Dec 2015) at the department of dental hygiene of D University. The clinical dental hygiene management consists of dental hygiene assessment, judgment, care plan, and implementation. The study compared the changes in oral hygiene status depending on the motivation of subjects and analyzed the effect of the program on dental hygiene activities. When a subject self-evaluates the dental health status, the degree of motivation increased as the dental health condition evaluation index was lower (p=0.019) and the duration of toothbrushing increased (p=0.039). However, other factors did not have a significant effect on motivation
