Abstract: Background: Sleep disturbance is a core symptom of Bipolar Disorder (BD). The diagnostic criteria indicate that during manic episodes there may be a reduced need for sleep and during episodes of depression, insomnia or hypersomnia can be experienced nearly every day. There exists a bidirectional relationship between sleep disturbance and mood disorders, as the symptoms of mood disorders may disrupt sleep and disrupted sleep can increase symptoms of mood disorders. Materials and Methods: In this study, a total of 50 bipolar disorder patients were recruited. Amongst of them 40 patients were of Mania and 10 of........

Abstract: A 60 years old male came to the medicine department of tertiary care hospital with the chief complains of generalized weakness, easy fatigability and dyspnea on exertion and routine activity since 1 month. Patient also complained of on and off fever since 15 days. On admission his vitals were within normal limits. Routine hematological tests showed decreased hemoglobin with other parameters normal. Other tests like iron profile, Vit B12 and folic acid study, liver function tests, renal function tests, Coomb's test, stool examination for occult bleeding, urine routine examination and routine radiological tests like USG-KUB, USG- Abdomen, ECHO and Chest X-ray were done to.......

Abstract: AIM: To evaluate and compare marginal fit of Cobalt-Chromium copings cast from resin patterns fabricated using CAD/CAM and 3D printing technology. METHOD: A dentoform right first mandibular molar was prepared to receive metal ceramic crown following tooth preparation guidelines and copings were fabricated. The crowns were divided into two groups, group I: copings casted from 3D Printed resin patterns (n=15), and group II: copings casted from milled resin patterns (n=15), each coping was investigated for marginal adaptation. RESULTS: Group I (Copings casted from 3D Printed resin patterns) had higher marginal discrepancy as compared to Group B (Copings casted from milled resin patterns). CONCLUSION: Marginal adaptation of copings casted from milled resin patterns is better as compared to 3D printed resin patterns.

Abstract: Background: Most of the oesophageal and gastric malignancies are diagnosed at relatively in advanced stages in our country compared to the developed countries. Dyspeptic symptoms are said to be one of the earliest symptoms in these conditions. Hence, subjecting all the patients (above 40 years of age – high risk group for malignancy) with dyspeptic symptoms, to upper gastro intestinal endoscopy study and with biopsy when necessary, will aid in early detection of carcinoma. Materials and methods: All the patients of 40 years and above with dyspeptic and associated 'Alarm signs' (Alarm signs – vomiting, early satiety......

Setting: Urban tertiary level referral Hospital in western Tamil Nadu, India. Patients: SE is defined as seizures lasting for > 5 minutes. Children from 2 months to 12 years with SE on arrival to ER managed with ACD were included. Seizures stopped before ACD and simple partial seizures without LOC were excluded. Main outcome measures: Death and AMA were considered as poor outcomes. All cases followed up for one month to determine the immediate....

Abstract: Introduction: Adult Tetralogy of Fallot is a burnt-out disease and has higher morbidity and mortality due to volume over load from multiple collaterals, dysplastic pulmonary valve and severe right ventricular hypertrophy. Primary Pulmonary Valve Replacement at the time of surgery addresses these problems and decreases the morbidity and mortality associated with repair in adult Tetralogy of Fallot. Objective: The objective of this study is to analyze the outcomes of primary pulmonary valve replacement in adult Tetralogy of Fallot patients. Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective study conducted over a period of five years from January 2014 to January 2019 in all adult patients who presented with uncomplicated Tetralogy of Fallot at our institution. Their initial presentations, previous procedures if any, detailed anatomy based on 2d echo and CT scan, intra operative findings and.......

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Carcinoma of breast is the leading cause of cancer in women globally. It affects around 26% of women in developing countries. One of the leading causes of cancer death in the less developed countries is breast cancer. There has been a decrease in 30 to 40% of mortality from breast cancer as a result of earlier detection via screening mammography, health education, improved and availability of treatment modalities. All detected breast lesions are not malignant and all benign masses will not progress to cancer.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a prospective cross-sectional study done over a period of 1 year 3 months between august 2020 to November 2021. 100 asymptomatic women of age more than or equal to 40 years attending the digital mammography unit, department of radiodiagnosis of king George hospital, Visakhapatnam.......

Abstract: Introduction : In Vitro Fertilization has emerged as a promising treatment option for infertility. However, it also increases the obstetric complications and adverse pregnancy outcomes. This study was conducted to gather the data on the incidence of maternal and neonatal outcome among IVF pregnancies. Methodology : A prospective analysis of 80 IVF conceived pregnant patients in third trimester was done attending the OPD and IPD at Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, JLN Medical College, Ajmer during March 2020 to February 2021. All the patients were evaluated and the incidence of maternal and fetal complications, mode of delivery, and fetomaternal outcome was seen. Results : In our study, most of the patients were >30 years of age(65.25%). Maternal complications were seen in 35% of the patients and HDP........
