Abstract: Background: Musculoskeletal pain is very common around the world. The study was done to determine the efficacy of the formulation made of turmeric and Boswellia extract (PFK300, Rhuleave-K®) for acute musculoskeletal pain. Materials and Methods: In this prospective randomized double-blind study, 40 subjects were randomized in an allocation concealed 1:1 ratio to receive a single dose of 500 mg of PFK300 (Rhuleave-K®) or placebo. The primary outcome was the sum of pain intensity difference at 6 hours (SPID6) evaluated by the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) and total pain relief (TOTPAR6) evaluated by categorical pain relief scale (PRS) every 30 minutes up to 6 hours. The secondary outcomes.......

Abstract: Background: Traumatic macular hole(TMH) can occur immediately after the ocular trauma or a few weeks later. TMH could result from a rupture of the fovea due to impact of the injury in early onset cases and in late onset could be due to deroofing of the cysts in chronic cystoid macular oedema. Spontaneous closure of macular hole is rare but it has been reported in young adults with small macular hole. It is associated with good visual prognosis. Optical coherence tomography(OCT) plays an essential role in patient management. We report a case of 26 year old male with TMH managed conservatively with monitoring on serial OCT scans. Conclusion: Serial clinical visits with OCT examination can help to monitor the disease and timely surgical intervention when required. Three months of observation can be considered before deciding the surgical management for TMH.

Abstract: Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate and measure the effect of repeated bonding on the shear bond strength(SBS) and adhesive remnant index (ARI) of orthodontic brackets bonded using conventional primer(CP) and self etching primer(SEP). Materials and Methods: Twenty eight maxillary first premolars were collected and divided into two equal groups. In group I, the teeth were etched with 37% phosphoric acid, a sealant was applied, and the brackets were bonded with Transbond XT (3M Unitek). In group II, the teeth were etched with self etching primer (Transbond Plus,3M Unitek) and bonded with Transbond XT. In each group, the teeth were bonded and debonded 3 times with the same adhesive.......

Abstract: Background and Objective : Lymph node swellings are one of the commonest clinical presentation of patients. FNAC is usually the first step in evaluation of enlarged lymph node. It is simple, rapid, inexpensive diagnostic procedure. The objective of study was to correlate FNAC and histopathological findings. Materials and Method : A total of 75 clinically diagnosed cases of lymphadenopathies referred to Dr Lal Path Lab between April 2020 to March 2022 were included in the study. FNAC results of 50 cases were compared with the histopathological findings......

Abstract: Congenital diaphragmatic hernia is characterized by an embryonic defect in a diaphragmatic dome, the incidence of which varies between 1/3000 to 1/5000 live births. The posterolateral seat through the foramen of Bochdalek accounts for 80% of congenital diaphragmatic hernias. We report a case of right congenital diaphragmatic hernias (CDH) with late onset, as well as data from the literature. The objective of this work is to focus on the diagnostic difficulties and the management of this pathology. Diagnosis and antenatal care are important elements in reducing patient mortality and morbidity. The combination of pulmonary arterial vasculopathy and pulmonary hypoplasia determine the vital prognosis, which justifies planned treatment in a neonatal center..

Abstract: Background: EEG is a non-invasive, non-painful examination, it makes it possible to assess spontaneous cerebral functioning. The contribution of the EEG to the diagnosis of the epileptic nature of a paroxysmal event is valuable. The contribution of the EEG to the diagnosis of a paroxysmal event must be integrated into the bundle of clinical arguments, and alone cannot constitute the key element of the diagnosis. The objective of our study was to determine EEG findings of late epilepsy in the Algerian population. Materials and Methods: The study population includes all Algerian patients whose age of onset of the first seizure is 25 years or more, recruited during the period from January 2008 to December 2016 at ALI AIT IDIR Hospital in Algiers........

Abstract: Introduction:Hypospadias is a congenital condition characterized by tissue hypoplasia of the ventral aspect of the penis, with incidence of one (0.3%) in 300 males. There is an increase incidence in those with first-degree relatives having hypospadias to about 13 times more than those without family history. Aim of the study: To find out that Snodgrass is the more appropriate treatment for distal penile hypospadias by comparing two surgical techniques. Methods: This is a prospective comparative case-control study, the study was carried out in the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Dhaka Shishu Hospital.......
