Abstract: Introduction: Conjunctival autografting after pterygium excision is associated with very low rates of recurrence and complications and hence a preferred technique worldwide. Grafts are commonly secured with fibrin glue or by suturing with 10-0 nylon based on the availability and preference of the surgeon. Materials and Methods: A prospective study of 90 patients that undergo Pterygium surgery with conjunctival autografting in which graft is secured with the use of Fibrin glue (Group- A) or with 10-0 nylon sutures (Group-B) as per patient's choice and affordability were assessed. The study was IEC-approved and conducted at Vilasrao Deshmukh Govt Medical College, Latur. Patients were assessed on postoperative day 1, 7 and 40 and the results were analyzed after applying appropriate statistical tests.......

Abstract: In the period when the root development of children's teeth continues, trauma or chronic infection to the teeth stops this root development. If the pulp becomes devitalized in immature permanent teeth due to dental trauma or infection, apexification treatment should be performed to continue its root development. The aim of this case report is to present a treatment to promote root-end growth and apical closure in a non-vital immature permanent tooth. In this case, calcium hydroxide and iodoform paste was placed in the root canals of immature permanent tooth using disposable plastic tips. The tooth involved was evaluated radiographically at regular intervals after placement of the paste. At the end.....

Abstract: Background: The study was done to evaluate the accuracy of MRI in diagnosing and staging oral malignancies in a tertiary care hospital and to correlate MR imaging staging with histopathological staging. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study on 34 patients with clinical diagnosis of oral malignancy referred for MRI was done during January 2021 and October 2022. MRI was performed with GE 3T MR scanner. Clinical and radiological TNM staging was done preoperatively and post-surgery histopathology staging was obtained. The observations found clinically, on histopathology examination and on MR imaging were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences and were correlated using Pearson's chi squared test and Cramer's V value.....

Abstract: In order to treat a range of dental issues, restorative and endodontic operations are frequently carried out in dental practices. As they aid in controlling moisture and avoid contamination by saliva or blood that could impair the quality of dental restorations or root canal treatments, isolation techniques are essential to the success of restorative and endodontic procedures.1 Due to its many benefits, including enhanced visibility, greater patient safety, and less risk of cross-contamination, the use of rubber dam has been acknowledged as the gold standard for isolation during restorative and endodontic procedures.2 Endodontic and restorative procedures are essential components of contemporary dental practise and are used to treat a variety of dental problems.

Abstract: The feminist movement empowered and expanded women's knowledge about their health and gave them support to fight patriarchal and oppressive practices in health care systems. Gender Medicine (GM) is a new discipline that studies the effect of gender on overall health. The impact of gender-related violence, ethnic conflict, migration and discrimination on women's health is a major public health problem. This particular study examines the burden on women's health from unpaid work, from HPV infection, from the burden of finding and managing clean drinking water in developing countries, from discrimination in urban vaccination, from the burden on mental health due to adverse socio-economic and environmental conditions, from malnutrition and low-value nutrition.....

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of literacy on the oral health of parents and/or caregivers in the choice of dental treatment for their children. Forty parents and/or caregivers were subjected to three analysis instruments: a questionnaire about the sociodemographic profile of the nuclear family; BREALD-30 to analyze the level of oral health literacy, and a construct organized by the researchers based on the ICDAS called ETI, to evaluate the choice of treatment. The means and standard deviation were calculated. Data was analyzed with absolute, and relative....

Abstract: Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the bone quality obtained after alveolar preservation using autologous dentin graft obtained with the Tooth Transformer technology. The analysis involved assessing the Hounsfield Units (HU) within the previously regenerated implantation area. These measurements were derived from 3D images using the assistance of Blue-Sky Bio 4 Software. Materials and Methods: We have analyzed 67 images of regenerated alveoli using demineralized autologous dentin. From the initial cohort, 11 alveoli received an implant 6 months after the regeneration procedure, while the remaining 56 alveoli constituted the final subject of the study...

Abstract: Hearing loss" refers to a condition where a person's hearing ability or hearing sensitivity is fully or partially lost. According to World Health Organization (WHO) a person is said to be suffering from hearing loss when he or she is not able to hear or has hearing threshold of 20 dB HL or better in both ears.Hearing impairment can be caused due to various reasons among which ageing is an one of important cause, Aging make a person susceptible to hearing loss. 25% of the population above 60 years of age are found to have hearing loss (WHO 2021).The purpose of this review is to identify the impact of hearing impairment in the life of elderly population, In this review 43 papers were analysed, which was published within the time span of 2001 to 2022 Pubmed, Google scholar and epub. Analysis and result of Publication indicates Dementia, impaired cognitive ability, Social isolation and depression were found to be the major effects of the impaired hearing ability of elderly persons.

Abstract: Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) recommended for depression1. However, these medications can also be abused. The prevalence of patients suffering from overdose intoxication is anticipated to rise as a result of easy availability to TCAs. A 41 year old male with alleged history of consumption of multiple TCA over doses. Despite initial treatment including intravascular lipid emulsion, sodium bicarbonate infusion, supra ventricular tachycardia occurred soon after arrival and went into cardiac arrest. A high concentration of amitriptyline was identified....

Abstract: Introduction: Traumatic vascular injury is caused by explosions and projectiles which may affect arteries and veins of the limbs, and is common in wartime, triggering bleeding and ischemia. The increasing use of high-energy weapons in modern warfare is associated with severe vascular injuries. The peripheral arteries and veins of the extremities are among the most commonly injured vessels in both civilian and military vascular trauma. Vascular injuries are classified as contusion, intimal disruption, puncture, lateral disruption, transections with hemorrhage or occlusion, arteriovenous fistula, spam, and pseudoaneurysms. Any kind of bleeding whether inside or outside of the body is a sign of....
