Abstract: A case of a 48 yr old gentleman, who presented with corneal infiltrate infront of a bleb 2 month following manual small incision cataract surgery. The patient did not give any history or trauma or any dust entry. It was diagnosed to be post cataract filtering bleb with associated corneal infiltrate. This case highlights the need for delayed resuturing of inadvertent bleb following cataract surgery to reduce the risk for intraocular complication..

Abstract: Background: One of the leading causes of sudden abdominal pain is acute appendicitis, which also happens to
be the most common surgical illness in emergency departments. Acute appendicitis continues to be a significant
cause of morbidity in the population and can also manifest as diffuse peritonitis in an advanced stage if diagnosis
is delayed. Various scoring systems are used in diagnosing it such as Alvarado, Tzanaki, RIPASA, AIR and AAS.
Effectiveness of one scoring system over the other is a potential field of rese arch.

acute appendicitis who presented to the emergency room of VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, between.....

Abstract: Hemangioma, benign proliferation of blood vessels commonly appears throughout childhood. Hemangiomas can be classified as either capillary or cavernous. Capillary hemangiomas are developmental hamartomatous lesions of the vascular tissue. After a particular amount of time, some of the hemangiomas cease growing and may involute. This case report presents a 47-year-old female a swelling in the inner aspect of lip. Surgical excision of the lesion with a diode laser followed by histopathologic confirmation with emphasis on the clinical aspect...

Abstract: Lateral bulbar syndrome occurs in patients with vertebrobasilar vascular lesions and can be associated with ipsilateral hemiparesis on rare occasions, in which it is known as Opalski syndrome. Stroke is a medical emergency characterized by a sudden decrease in neurological function due to a lack of blood supply to brain tissue. Opalski syndrome is considered a specific type of Wallenberg syndrome, being a relatively rare type of stroke. Signs and symptoms ipsilateral to the lesion occur due to damage to the corticospinal tract after the crossing of most of its fibers in the decussation of the pyramids. Neuroimaging with computed tomography or magnetic resonance is essential.......

Abstract: A choroidal tuberculoma is a feature of ocular tuberculosis (TB). Tuberculoma can arise with or without systemic presentation of active pulmonary tuberculosis. It is responsive to treatment with anti-tuberculosis therapy, and prompt treatment helps resolve the lesion completely. We report a case of a solitary large active choroidal tuberculoma in one eye with subretinal fluid in fovea misdiagnosed as central serous retinopathy and healed tubercle in the other. The patient was asymptomatic clinically for other systemic signs of tuberculosis. Based on clinical history and investigations, treatment with four-drug regimen of anti-tubercular treatment with concomitant corticosteroids was started, and total healing of the lesion occurred in 3 months.

Abstract: Neonatal sepsis is a syndrome caused by a systemic infection in a newborn and is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. The most common causative agents are bacteria, which vary according to the source of infection. There are two presentations of this pathology: Early Onset Sepsis (EOS) within the first 72 hours of life, or Late Onset Sepsis (LOS) after 4 to 7 days within the first 1 to 3 months of life1,2. The bacteria causing this syndrome are not exempt from the severe global problem currently being faced: Antibiotic Resistance (AMR). The presence of multi-drug resistant.....

Abstract: Acute colonic pseudo-obstruction also termed as Ogilvie syndrome is rare, with an estimated incidence of 100/100,000 hospital admissions. We report the case of a 45 year old gentleman patient presented with Obstipation features with distension of abdomen and blisters over lower part of abdomen on right side. Plain X-ray and CT scan showed a dilated large bowel. Diagnosis of Acute colonic Pseudo-Obstruction secondary to viral etiology. Conservative management was successful and the patient was discharged uneventfully. Early recognition of this condition may help to avoid unnecessary surgery.

Abstract: Varicocele is a condition of abnormal tortuous and dilated veins in pampiniform venous plexus of scrotal sac. Severe oligozoospermia is the percentage of spermatozoa below 5 x 106 per ml. Necrozoospermia is low percent of live and high percent of immotile sperm in ejaculate. Treatment options available for these patients in assisted reproductive technique are: In vitro fertilisation (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)1.The prevalence of varicocele is between 15 to 20 % out of which about 35% are male patients with infertility2. Management approach includes mainly surgical repair3 amongst which various techniques include open surgical ligation of spermatic....

Abstract: The development of the palatal processes in children with congenital cleft lip and palate occurs spontaneously, at unpredictable times and at an unpredictable rate. The process of growth in the sky area is characterized by a natural potential to increase tissue mass, but it is impossible to artificially stimulate these processes to a greater extent than genetically determined. Therefore, the argument in favor of late uranoplasty, growth retardation due to surgical trauma to the osteogenic zone can be refuted by counterarguments of the unpredictability of the timing and rate of growth, as well as a possible genetically determined deficiency of osteogenic tissue.........

Abstract: Usually, children with congenital cleft lip and palate (CCLP) are born viable and, if optimal conditions are created for them, they develop almost the same as their healthy peers, but, compared to them, these children are more susceptible to various environmental factors. For example, they are 3-4 times more likely to have a lesion of tooth enamel. Changes in the factors of general local and nonspecific protection of the oral cavity serve as pathogenetic prerequisites for an increase in the number of dental diseases in children. It was found that among the concomitant pathology that occurs after birth, the incidence of dental caries is especially high in carriers of CCLP.

Abstract: In recent decades, there has been a tendency towards an increase in the frequency of this defect, as well as in general congenital malformations, which is associated with an increased effect of toxic substances on the body, due to the intensive development of industry, in particular chemical. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in regions with a chemical industry, today the birth rate of children with congenital cleft lip and palate is higher than the national average. In the etiological aspect, congenital cleft lip and palate belong to a multifactorial pathology, in which various endogenous, exogenous, and genetically determined factors may play a role.
