Abstract: The transformationalrole of education in human endeavor cannot be overemphasized. Thebasic function of education is to develop, in a holistic way a well-balanced, self-functioning and responsive individual who can spur development and transform the self and society. Abstract: Students' weak curriculum outcomes in Mathematics at National examinations of secondary school education have been of concern to primary and secondary stakeholders. The concern was that results determines student's participation in science oriented programmes at tertiary level. Many interventions have been put in place to avoid the effects but poor performance persisted. The study examined effect of teaching through problem – solvingon students' achievements in Mathematics in secondary schools in Murang'a County, Kenya. This County is oneof 47 counties, but it was favoured because of climatic condition and assessable roads to schools. The study investigated students' performance in Mathematics for those taught using problem - solving strategies with those taught using conventional.....

The importance of English as a world language has made people choose the right materials to help them approach English easily, fast and comfortably. Among all the materials used in class, songs are of great value. Songs are compositions that contains vocal parts ("lyrics") that are performed ("sung"), commonly accompanied by musical instruments. The lyrics of songs are typically of a poetic, rhyming nature, although they may be religious verses or free prose. They can provide a substantial amount of auditory input, which is most important at early language learning stage. Learning English through songs also provides a conducive atmosphere for students, who usually experience tension when speaking English in a formal classroom setting. Thai Nguyen University......

Abstract: In this study an attempt was made to uncover areas whereBiology as a science agrees with certain issues in the christian religion. The Holy Bible was examined, page-by-page, for issues that have some relationship with Biology. Biological principles were used to explain those issues and their implications to Biology education noted. It was suggested that in teaching Biologyin schools, the synergy which exists between religion and Biology should be used effectively for a better teaching and learning experience. Biology education will be enhanced and Biology content more appreciated by learners.

Abstract: The high literacy proficiency of Faculty of Education students (post graduate) is generally attributed to the fact that they accustom themselves to reading and writing practice in Arabic language through modern technology prior to university entry. The present study investigates whether SNS (Edmodo=Ed, Facebook=Fb) would have productive effects on university students' literacy skills. The experimental group A (100 students) used Fb and Ed for 3 months during teaching Arabic courses. On the other hand, the teacher controlled another group B (100 students) and taught to them according to conventional method. As a result of the experiment, assessment of students' reading and writing comprehension shows that the experimental group A out-performed conventional group B. Obviously, the experimental group's comprehension and active use of language were superior to the conventional group, and these differences were significant at .01 level. The importance of this study lies in making full use of Fb and Ed in learning and improving Arabic skills themselves.
