Abstract: This study considered family environment (family cohesion, family conflict) and self-esteem as predictors of psychological adjustment of secondary school adolescents from divorced home in Cross River State. The study employed survey research design. A sample of 128 SS11 students was selected using simple and stratified random sampling techniques. Three research questions were asked to guide the study. Three research instruments: Family Environment Scale (FES), Rosenburg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and Psychological Adjustment Questionnaire (PAQ) were used to gather data for the study. The result revealed that positive family cohesion, support and lower rates of family conflict were significant predictor of psychological adjustment in the sample studied. Based on the findings, it was recommended among others that families should reduce conflict and increase cohesion as this may have positive effect on the psychological adjustment of the adolescents.

Abstract: Background: Sepsis remains a major healthcare concern .Systemic inflammatory response is usually severe in patients with critical illnesses.ICU scoring systems like APACHE and SAPSII to predict mortality are done at 24 hour of admission during which precious time is lost in administering therapy. Microalbuminuria has shown as a predictor of organ failure and also mortality. Our study evaluates the role of microalbuminuria in predicting the mortality among critically ill patients. Methods: In a prospective, non-interventional study conducted on patients admitted to ICU of Institute of medical sciences madras medical college .A total of 50 adult patients (>18 years) with a stay in the ICU for more than 24 h were included. Spot urine samples were collected at 6 and 24 hours of admission and were tested for urine micro albumin by immunoturbidometric method and for urine creatinine by Jaffe method and urine micro albumin: creatinine.........

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of teaching and learning contextual teaching and learning model (CTL) and learning motivation toward student students' achievement in grade VII SMP Imelda Medan. This research type is quasi experiment with two group pretest posttest design. The population of this study is all students of class VII at SMP Imelda Medan, which is 5 classes consisting of 125 students, where each class consists of 25 students. The sample selection is taken by cluster random sampling, ie the sample selection refers to the group not to the individual, where the sample is taken by the class drawing that is to write the names of the two classes on the rolled and selected paper. From the election, class VII-A was selected as an experimental class taught using CTL learning model and class VII-B was selected as an expository class..........

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe how students construct in generating objects on mathematical visualization. The subject of this study was an independent high school male field student based on the GEFT test. The result shows that SLFI represents a 2D pool. SLFI imagines that therepresntative pool made is a form of swimming pool viewed from above. Thus, the visible side is only the surface of the pool. SLFI provides information on the size of the representation that have been made. The pool representation forms are divided into three parts, the first is for adult category pool, second part is for adolescent, and the third is as border part of both categories. While on the border part, it is divided into two parts, the higher side and the lower side. He develops the information existed in the task, such as the size of the barrier that was not previously known..........
