Abstract: In response to the rising youth unemployment, the Government of Kenya launched the Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF) in 2006. The main role was to provide flexible financing and low interest loans to the youth enterprises which would in turn provide direct and indirect employment to the youth. The fund has so far provided financial and non-financial assistance to many youth groups in the country. The main focus of this research is to evaluate the role of the fund's start up loan services on employment in Kerugoya Ward, Kirinyaga County. Despite the existence of the fund for almost 10 years, the rate of unemployment among the youth is still high in Kenya..........

Abstract: Behavioural finance has identified many causes of irrational behaviour by the investors in share market. These causes have been grouped as heuristics and biases. Herd behaviour is also one among such investment biases. There are many factors which affect herding among the share investors. From the review of literatures a list of such factors are prepared and opinions of the investors are taken with the help of a structured questionnaire. Based on the opinions an attempt has been made in the present study to identify those factors which contributes highly to the herd behaviour manifestation. Effect of age variation on herding in share market has also been analysed in the study.

Abstract: The macro-level models of analysis of diversification mainly focus on the price of crop as major determinant of changing land allocation. However price alone may not be the factor in decision making. At farm level there is difference in endowments, infrastructure development and access to markets, food security concerns and several other economic and non-economic factors that play a role in changing land allocation decision by farmers. So it becomes important to analyze the changing land allocation decisions at micro/farm level. In this context primary survey was undertaken to understand the dynamics of process of diversification at micro level and analyze the various factors that provide stimulus to the process of diversification and the role of various economic and non-economic factors in the decision making process of farmers in changing allocation of land from low value crops to high value horticulture crops.

Abstract: In the first decade of the 21st century, advanced imaging techniques for neuroscience research began to be applied. The fMRI or Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging is one of the most important and most used technique for emotions researchbecause it makes easy to observe the oxygenated areas of the brain when performing different tasks. The fMRI consists in obtaining detailed images of the internal organs and tissues, using radiofrequency waves and a very powerful magnet. It measures the metabolic changes that occur in a part of the brain tissue in activity, being useful not only for the study of the cerebral anatomy but also can help to determine exactly which area of the brain is performing each function.
