Abstract: The purpose of the study is to understand the working and impact of the Indian and international market competition regulators. Their work and how they determine the business crimes of abuse of dominance or formation of cartels. The main focus is on European Union, United States and United Kingdom while studying these regulators. Each of these international market regulators have uniqueness and are mature jurisdictions, thus suggestion have been drawn to conclude findings that the Indian market regulator could imbibe.
Keywords: abuse of dominance, competition regulator, CCI,cartels.[1]. The leading American case is United States v. Socony-Vacuum Oil Co. (310 U.S. 150, 1940).
[2]. Two cases exemplifying the approach are Broadcast Music Inc. v. Columbia Broadcasting System (441 U.S. 1, 1979) and Northwest Wholesale Stationers, Inc. v. Pacific Stationery & Printing Co. (472 U.S. 284, 1985).
[3]. Companies with only 30 or 40 percent of a market may "attempt to monopolize," but conduct must be plainly anticompetitive and lacking in business justification to be deemed a violation, and it must predictably produce monopoly if allowed to continue to operate. For example, see Spectrum Sports, Inc. v. McQuillan (506 U.S. 447, 1993) and Turner (1975).
[4]. See, for example, Telex Corp. v. IBM (367 F. Supp. 258, N.D. Okla. 1973, rev. per curiam 510 F.2d 894, 10th Cir., cert. dismissed, 423 U.S. 802, 1975).
[5]. The Maastricht Treaty created the European Union (EU). The European Economic Community, now called the European Community (EC), is a constituent part of the European Union. The competition law remains in the EC Treaty of Rome...

Abstract: Although men and women both have proved their mettle in the corporate world globally but the fact remains that women are in the minority and invisible to quite an extent in leadership roles in India (Hamid, 2008). (www.medicinenet.com, 2011) emphasizes that the road for illness and job failure is set for most women in India who aspire to achieve and succeed in their career because they end up balancing work/life challenges that turn into demands and relaxation turning into feelings of stress. (Taj, 2010) states the reasons for this illness and failure as the pressure of social and role constraints imposed upon them by society, family and quite surprisingly bywomen themselves. This is because women in India are still juggling between being 'man on the job' and the otherwise conventional role of a homemaker. There is no kudos for her exemplary performance at work unless she is a perfect wife.........

Abstract: Entering the era of National Health Insurance (NHI) program, hospital as a business entity is required to register all of its employees as the participants of Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan). This regulation brings significant changes for employees in Type B private hospitals. For employees, access to health services and health benefits received are the two most perceived changes with the use of Healthcare and Social Security Agency as the only health insurance for them. Previous studies on the effects of compensation on job satisfaction and employee performance have been widely implemented, but those are quantitative studies and have not specifically.........

Abstract: This paper empirically examines the extent to which buyer firms' tradingapproaches, (on cash, on credit or both on cash and credit), are influenced by buyer supplier cooperation. The experience of buyer-supplier relationship, buyer membership in business association, supplier concentration, and buyers' opinion on the relevance of transaction cost are taken as a proxy to measure inter-firm cooperation that determine buyers' trade approaches. We compared two buyer trading approaches – buying on cash only –against – buying on both cash and credit. The findings of this study suggest that, the firms that buy relatively more on both cash and credit are those that have longer buyer-supplier relationship, have less number ofsuppliers (fewersuppliers) and those who believe that transaction cost is relevant. We have also found out that in a developing economic environment the most frequently used means of communication among buyers and suppliersarepersonal visits and telephones

Abstract: Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) remains the main source of long-term finance for listed firms in Kenya. However, statistics show declining performance evidenced by delisting of 21.4% of firms between 2003 and 2014 indicating ineffective board compositions. Past studies show plausible unsystematic direct relationships between board composition and either accounting-based or market-based financial performance measures. The alternative perspective of the relationships being mediated by contextual variables such as financial leverage has received little attention leading to theory stagnation. The study therefore purposed to analyse the mediating role of financial leverage on the relationship between board composition and value-added performance of firms in NSE Correlational research design is employed. The target population is 64 listed firms during 2014. Purposive sampling........

Abstract: This paper examines the extent to which the commercial banks of Bangladesh listed in Dhaka Stock Exchange comply with the voluntary Code of Corporate Governance. It measures the corporate governance index (CGI) of these banks and assesses the parameters that explain the value of CGI. It has found that the average CGI score of these banks is 86.52% but the determinants like profitability of banks, their age, and the type of auditors of their accounts have little effect in variation of the CGI score. The findings also suggest that although the banks appear to have reasonably good records in terms of compliance of mandatory provisions of the code of corporate governance, they are...........
