Abstract: The housing industry of India is growing at a faster rate especially in urban areas. A large population base, rising disposable income and liberalised market regime leads to rapid progress of this sector. In India, there exists a huge gap between the demand and supply of residential housing. This leads to the unprecedented rise of price in the sector. It is essential to track the price movements in the real estate sector so that adequate measures can be adopted to ensure smooth functioning of the economy. National Housing Bank (NHB) publishes Residex, the residential real estate price index which is considered as the first official housing price index in the country. The study makes an effort to analyse the housing price trend in major Indian cities based on NHB Residex with a focus on Kochi in Kerala. The study reveals that there is an overall uptrend in the real estate price in major cities of India with a few exceptions. Housing price in Kochi registered negative growth till 2015; however the city has recouped at least 20 percent from the value recorded in Q4 2013 based on the revamped Residex index..

Abstract: Suboptimal bias is a situation where the purchase is carried out irrationally because of a certain bias in making purchasing decisions. This study explores the role of brand personality in generating the bias. Brand personality is conceptualized as an attraction of brand personality. This variable is more focused on the ability of the brand personality to attract consumers rather than see whether the personality of the consumer is suitable or not with the brand personality. Three attractiveness variables of brand personality are used as independent variables, namely favorability, originality, and clarity. The attractiveness of brand personality is hypothesized to be related to confirmation bias through a number of mechanisms such as affective hierarchy and availability hierarchy.........

Abstract: The Erode power loom cluster has grown in terms of volume, value and variety over the last few decades and has become one of the active markets for cotton goods in the country. However, over the last few years the cluster has lost its prideful place due to labour shortage, obsolescence and margin erosion. To overcome these problems, and to erase the 'low quality' image of the cluster and make it look attractive even for the quality conscious buyers the integrated textiles mall infrastructure was build up by public private partnership in the name of Texvalley. Primary focus of Texvalleywas to benefit the small and medium textile manufacturers and traders, as it would bring in all the weekly markets in Erode under a single roof. Mainly they aim at offering a platform for textile owners who are presently doing their business in the weekly shandies in three locations in the city namely.............
