Abstract: The survey is the fruit of cleaver reading of two African novels, Le Devoir de violence by Yambo Ouologuem and Allah n'est pas obligé by Ahmadou Kourouma.
In fact from their writing style and even the ideology forwarded by these texts, they would be considered as contemporary whereas they are separated by two decades, one from the other. The deal was then to confront the techniques implemented to write them, the main characters, the setting as well as the central theme. It appears that the authors of these texts have all used the same writing techniques and that their heroes, even though they are contradictory, are in charge of the same schemes: the violence and the mess which go until the under-human level. The common theme is developed by one and the other in a setting time measured by chronometer despite flashbacks and forecasts movement and in a space open in Africa in a way that the events concatenation and their references are all confused on the reality field.
