Abstract: Mesenteric cysts are rare benign intra-abdominal vesicles with various clinical presentations.Clinical manifestations of the disease are very diverse and variable, and can occur as a spectrum of asymptomatic abdominal cramps and acute intestinal obstruction. They almost located in the mesentery of the small intestine. The selective therapeutic method is complete surgical excision, however more than half need resection and bowel anastomosis. Here, we presented a 8-year-old boy with a huge mesenteric cyst that was excised surgically., which the diagnosis confirmed by computed tomography scan and managed through surgical excision.

Abstract: Background: Immune response directed against "self" is referred to as autoimmunity. When a patient presents with the signs and symptoms of an autoimmune disorder, a diagnostic work-up of many laboratory tests, including testing of anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) are advised. ANA are the serological hallmark of autoimmunity. The antibodies that are created by the body against its own cell nuclei are called as anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA). Depending on the organelles and associated target antigens attacked, ANA produce various patterns on indirect immunofluorescence assay (IIFA) on a human laryngeal epithelial cell line (Hep-2 cell line). The present study, aims at analysing various ANA patterns identified and assessing their clinical significance in patients afflicted with autoimmune disorders....

Abstract: Background: The aim of the current study is to evaluate the color reproduction of lithium disilicate ceramics after two types of surface treatments (laser surface treatment and Hydrofluoric acid etching ) Materials and Methods: twenty-eight specimens will be sliced into two thicknesses (0.3 & 0.5 mm). Then color reproduction is measured before and after the applied surface treatment. Results: Results showed a significant difference in color reproduction between different treatments with different thicknesses. Hydrofluoric acid etching had a significantly higher value than laser surface treatment. 0.3mm thick samples also had a significantly higher value than 0.5mm thick samples......

Abstract: Background: The introduction of antimicrobials have influenced the modern medical care in a massive way. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a serious threat to the modern world. Enterobacteriaceae, a family encompassing many clinically important bacterial species, exhibits rising levels of AMR. Infection with either extended spectrum β-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (ESBL-E) or carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) is associated with increased mortality rates, length of stay in the hospital and overall healthcare costs......

Abstract: Introduction: Percutaneous radioguided biopsy is an accurate, minimally invasive and safe alternative to surgical biopsy. However, some biopsies of intra-, retro-, or subperitoneal lesions may be difficult to access due to anatomical, imaging, or patient-related factors. They may involve an increased risk of non-target noble organ injury, hemorrhage, or bowel perforation. To avoid these complications, several biopsy-assisting techniques have been described in the literature to overcome these challenges: notably, aeroslice or hydrodissection. In this case report, we describe the interest of using hydrodissection per scannoguided biopsy to facilitate access to a suspicious lesion near the vaginal stump.....

Abstract: Borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) represent 15 to 20% of epithelial tumors of the ovary, and generally affect young women. Their prognosis is much better, with a survival of 95% at five years and 90% at 10 years. Imaging has a major role in the diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic approach, allowing a better management, avoiding recurrences and preserving fertility in young patients. Our work is a retrospective study of 28 cases of BOTs, collected at the Mother-Child Radiology and Gyneco-obstetrics departments of the CHU HASSAN II in Fez, spread over a period of 5 years and 6 months, from January 2015 to June 2020. Which allowed us to evaluate the epidemiological and clinical profile, to describe the radiological signs of BOTs and their histological subtypes, to specify the role of imaging, and to correlate results with the anatomopathological data. Pelvic MRI was performed in 43% of our patients, and allowed characterization of BOTs and their histological subtypes with high sensitivity and specificity (17 serous, 8 mucinous and 3 mixed).

Abstract: Trauma to the maxillofacial structures is very not very uncommon. About 12-56% of trauma constitutes mandibular fractures, out of which condylar fracture accounts for 29-52%. Condylar region has its unique anatomy and healing potential hence requiring special considerations. Direct or indirect impact to the symphysis and/or parasymphysis region can transfer the forces directly to the condyle leading to its fracture. The clinical manifestation depends upon the location of fracture on the condyle. Presenting here is a case of a 57-year-old female patient who reported with chief complaint of pain and discomfort in the right side of jaw while opening her mouth, immediately after trauma to the face.

Abstract: The ocular manifestations of Behçet's disease are diverse, the most frequent being hypopyon uveitis and especially occlusive retinal vasculitis. We report a retrospective study spread over a period of two years between December 2016 and December 2018 including patients with Behçet's disease followed at the specialized uveitis consultation in the adult ophthalmology department at the August 20 hospital in Casablanca. A total of 153 patients are included in the study. The average age was 32 years, 67% of patients were male. Ocular involvement was inaugural in 22% of cases. The average consultation time varied between 1 day and 4 years. Ocular involvement was bilateral in 119 patients........

Abstract: Spasticity in the plantar flexors can contribute to pathological gait patterns in both stance and swing phase of gait. Spastic plantar flexors affect forward foot clearance during swing phase; the consequence is toe drag while walking. Spastic plantar flexors resist extension at the knee and dorsi flexion of the foot. The ratio of prevalence in males and females in India is 1:2 per 1000 live births........

Abstract: BACKGROUND: The present study compares the efficacy of epidural versus combined spinal-epidural technique with ropivacaine and fentanyl and the goal here is to provide painless labor with minimal or no side-effects. METHODS : This is a prospective, randomized, double-blind study. sixty, consenting laboring parturient of ASA I/II in active labor were randomized to receive either Epidural(E) or Combined-Spinal Epidural(CSE) technique for labor analgesia. Group E received 0.125% ropivacaine with 2microgram/cc fentanyl epidurally and group CSE received 20 microgram fentanyl intrathecally and 0.125% ropivacaine with 2microgram/cc fentanyl epidurally. Onset of analgesia, duration of labor, maternal haemodynamic, Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Foetal Heart Sounds (FHS), mode of delivery, motor blockade, total top-ups, side-effects, and neonatal outcomes were observed........
