Abstract: Venous thrombosis of lower limb is a prevalent condition. Many different imaging modalities were used for its diagnosis. Phlebography is considered the gold standard modality for its diagnosis. Recently, color Doppler has evolved as an easily available, repeatable, non-invasive, dynamic modality. In our study 40 patients who were clinically suspected to have thrombosis were further examined on color Doppler.Majority of the patients were male (72.5%) in the age group of 41 – 50 years (30%). Most of the patient had unilateral (94.12%) involvement in which left lower limb was predominantly involved (70.59%). Superficial femoral vein (79.41%) was more commonly involved followed by common femoral vein (67.65%) and popliteal.........

Abstract: Vaginal bleeding in the first trimester is a common obstetric situation ranging from an insignificant episode to a life threatening emergency. The major causes are abortion, ectopic, and molar pregnancy. It occurs in about a one fourth of pregnancies, approximately half of whom will miscarry [5], while the other half will stop bleeding and complete a normal pregnancy. Ultrasonography is playing an increasing role in the diagnostic process. This study was taken up to evaluate its utility vis-à-vis clinical examination findings. Our study has been done on 50 patients with per-vaginal bleeding in the first trimester of pregnancy who were referred to the department of Radio-diagnosis were studied on TVS after taking consent. In the present study, the most common cause of bleeding in first trimester was missed abortion. The next common cause was Threatened abortion........

Abstract: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is playing an increasingly important role as an non-invasive test for determining the patients of shoulder pain. Aims and Objectives:To assess the role of MRI in the diagnosis and detection of shoulder pain. Results:Among the 100 patients included in the study joint effusion (64%) is the most common pathology, followed by rotator cuff tears (50%), tendinopathy (46%), degenerative diseases(42%) and bursitis(34%). Hill Sachs lesion was observed in 20% patients while Bankarts lesion / Variants in 24% patients. Malignant tumor was present in 1 patient. Conclusion: We recommend the state-of-the-art conventional MRI, be performed in shoulder pathologies in patients with aching shoulder as it is non-invasive, non-ionizing radiation, high degree of resolution and good soft tissue contrast.
