Abstract: IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a newly recognized disorder, characterized by massive IgG4+ lymphocyte and plasma cell infiltration, storiform fibrosis, causing enlargement, nodules or thickening of the various organs, simultaneously or metachronously [1–4]..The present case report describes the clinical case of a 62 year male with complaint of fever, jaundice, abdominal pain & loss of weight since 1 month. CECT Whole Abdomen shows hepatospleenomegaly, subdiaphragmatic and abdominal lymphadenopathy .Exploratory laparotomy done & abdominal lymph nodes sent for histopathology shows features of Florid follicular lymphoid hyperplasia with infilteration by plasma cells........

Abstract: Introduction: Canal perforation is an undesired complication that can occur during endodontic procedures. Earlier inadequacy of repair materials had contributed to the poor outcome of repair procedures. This case report includes cases of perforation repair with Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA), which has recently shown successful outcome. Method: The perforations were cleaned with sodium hypochlorite and saline and sealed with MTA without internal matrix. Result: After 1 year, the absence of periradicular lesions, pain, and swelling along with functional tooth stability indicated the successful use of MTA for repair. Conclusion: MTA has shown great potential as a material for repair of perforations.

Abstract: Seizure are one of the commonest pediatric neurological disorder. The incidence of seizure is highest i.e. 5% children experience seizure during the first 5 year of life, with a decreasing frequency in older age. Seizure in childhood may interfere with family and social life of parents, imposing fear and anxiety to parents.Parental response on seizure is determined by their knowledge on seizure. Objective of study:To assess the knowledge and attitude of parents towards the first seizure of their children in the Jharkhand context. Result:Maximum number of cases was in between the age of 1-5yearsi.e. 63%.Only34%consulted to their doctor after first episode. Most of the parents started to take treatment after more than two episodes of seizure i.e.89%after counselling.Only43%........

Abstract: Objective: To study the effect of smoking on development and progression of nephropathy in type II diabetic and non diabetic patients and to compare the effect of smoking on progression of nephropathy in above two groups. Material and methods - It was a cross sectional study done over a period of 2 years on total 120 subjects which were divided in 4 groups of 30 subjects each, Diabetic smokers, diabetic non smokers, non diabetic smokers and non diabetic non smokers. The main parameters assayed were: blood urea, serum creatinine, urine albumin creatinine ratio (ACR ) , glomerular filtration rate (GFR) , fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and serum lipid profile. The parameters assayed in the different groups were compared .Logistic regression analysis was done to study the effect of smoking on renal function. Results: Mean difference....

Abstract: Malaria is an acute parasitic illness mainly caused by Plasmodium Vivax and Plasmodium falciparum in India. Studying its prevalence is necessary to implement effective control measures. The aim of this study was to determine three-year blood smear positive rate of malaria. A retrospective study was conducted at Government Theni medical college, Theni. Three years malaria cases data has been collected from laboratory register from the May 2012 to May 2015. Among the total 7,545 blood smears examined 3345 smears were from fever cases and examined for malaria. Of these smears 31 (0.93%) smears were positive for malaria. Among the positive smears predominant species detected was Plasmodium vivax 28 cases (90%) followed by Plasmodium falciparum 3 cases (10%). The smear positive rate of malaria in Theni district is almost constant in three years with slight fluctuation..........

Abstract: Introduction: Crowding is the one of the most common problems motivating the patient to seek orthodontic treatment. Only few studies are available on the evaluation of the cephalometrics with mandibular crowding in the same population. The objective of this study was to compare cephalometric measurements in permanent dentition. Material and methods: It was conducted on the dental casts and lateral cephalograms of 100 subjects (40 males and 60 females) between 16 years to 25 years of age, who were divided into two groups according to the presence or absence of mandibular crowding (50 crowed and 50 non crowed). The crowded sample included those in which dental crowding of more than 1 mm was present and noncrowded sample had tooth size-arch length discrepancy between +1 to-1mm. Conclusion: We found statistically significant.........

Abstract: Tripod fractures constitute ofzygomatic bone and its four articulations viz; frontal bone, maxillary bone, sphenoid bone and temporal bone. When ever a Tripod fracture happens ,one or more of these articulations are interrupted. Up to 40% of all facial fracturesfall into this category. The prominence of this bone results in high incidence of its fracture. Motor vehicle accident is the most common cause.4There are various approaches for open reduction of this fracture which include lateral eyebrow incision, sub ciliary, sub tarsal, trans conjunctival and maxillary vestibular incision. Aim: The purpose of this retrospective study was to compare one point fixation with two point fixation for isolated zmc fractures. Materials And Methods:.........

Abstract: squamous cell carcinoma is a rare and distinctive variant of squamous cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix, which differs by histology and clinical behaviour from conventional squamous cell carcinoma .[1] Histologically, composed of papillary projections that are covered by several layers of atypical epithelial cells.[2] We are reporting a case of 65 years old female who presented with complaint of post menopausal bleeding and foul-smelling vaginal discharge since 6 months. A cervical biopsy was Performed and the histopathological examination showed malignant tumor tissue in papillary arrangement with fibrovascular core. Case is reported because of its rare incidence and its importance to differentiate from other subtypes of invasive squamous cell carcinoma.

Abstract: Background: This study aims to monitor changes in IFN-γ, TNF-α and IL-6 serum levels in patients with tuberculous spondylitis during oral antituberculosis administration. Methods: With a observational prospective cohort study involving 27 patients with tuberculosis spondylitis treated at Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang in January-December 2017, serum IFN-γ, TNF-α and IL-6 levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA ) at the time prior to oral antituberculous therapy, and after 2 months of therapy. Assessed correlation relationship of cytokine levels change compared with clinical change after 2 months of anti tuberculosis..........

Abstract: The major objectives of surgical treatment in patients with temporomandibular joint ankylosis are meticulous and radical removal of the ankylotic bone and, reconstruction and restoration of the physiologic functions of the lower jaw. A successful reconstructed temporomandibular joint should reproduce normal joint structure, provide functional articulation, and permit adaptive growth and remodeling. Difficulty in achieving the treatment goal is illustrated by the multiplicity of autologous and allogenic materials proposed or currently used to reconstruct temporomandibular joint. In 1989, Mosby and Hiatt described a new technique to securely fix the graft and therefore the dimension of gap between the rib graft and the mandible minimized while pressing the graft against the mandibular surface. In our study, we...........

Abstract: Fractures of the mandibular angle represent the largest percentage of mandibular fractures. Therapeutic goal of any fracture management is to restore form and function at the earliest without any morbidity. Fractures of the mandibular angle represent an important clinical challenge because their treatment is plagued with the highest post surgical complication rate of all mandibular fractures. Traditional modalities include;maxillomandibular fixation alone in favorable fracture cases and open reduction and internal fixation in unfavorable fracture cases. A number of fixation methods have been advocated for treatment of mandibular angle fractures.1 A study was done to evaluate the usefulness of two miniplate technique on patients who reported to, The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and hospital, Chennai with mandibular angle fractures...........
