Abstract: Background: Lung cancer accounts for 5.5% of all cancers in India as per the GLOBOCAN 2020 data. The utility of diagnostic methods and new targeted therapies made prolongation of survival. In this study we analyse demographic, clinical, histological and treatment patterns among lung cancer patients diagnosed in our centre. Materials and Methods: This is a single centre, retrospective study done between 2021-22. Data from medical records retrieved to analyse the demographic, clinical pathological and treatment patterns among lung cancer patients.....

Abstract: Cerebellopontineangle(CPA) pathologies may arise from structures located within the cistern [subarachnoid space containing cranial nerves and vessels bathed in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)] or from extension of lesions located primarily outside the cistern—from the brainstem, fourth ventricle, nerves and bony skull base. The symptoms and signs of CPA disease are non-specific, relating either to compression of the neural structures found within it or from compression of the fourth ventricle with resulting obstructive hydrocephalus. Imaging is vital for diagnosis and management planning.......

Abstract: Introduction- One of the most common etiologies of tendon injury which has been seen during this study is the toilet pan injury. This is a prospective observational study, done to evaluate the effects of the open repair technique in Achilles tendon rupture patients under various settings and the assessment of functional outcome using Achilles Tendon Total Rupture (ATTR) Score during the first year with restoration of ankle function. Material and methods- Study population are patients attending Plastic Surgery OPD and Emergency, admitted to Inpatient wards under Plastic Surgery Department of I.P.G.M.E&R and S.S.K.M Hospital. Sample size were 34 patients. Parameter used ATTR score.......

Abstract: Second primary tumors that occur simultaneously or within 6 months of the first are called synchronous tumors. Although double cancers in the upperaerodigestive tract mucosa are not uncommon, collision tumors that are composed of a papillary thyroid carcinoma and a laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma are rare. Patients who are at the high risk for the development of synchronous primarytumours in the head and neck region are patients with oropharyngeal carcinoma, smoking population, over the age of 62 years in males and 57 years in females and higher staged index tumour.........

Abstract: Introduction- The commonest, albeit most elusive postcholecystectomy syndrome is flatulent dyspepsia, a term which encompasses various and generally coexisting symptoms including early satiety, postprandial epigastric and right upper quadrant pain or discomfort, flatulence, nausea, eructation and fatty food intolerance. Material and methods- Study population are patients, those who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Department of General Surgery, Regional Institute of Medical Science, Imphal during the September 2015 to August 2017. Result-Here in 25-34 years age group total cases of PCS were 3. But the percentage of PCS among this age group was 27.2%. Followed by 45-55 years and >55 years age group (25%). Highest cases were among the age group of 35-44 years (......

Abstract: Salivary gland tumours are relatively rare & morphologically diverse group of lesions. Intraoral minor salivary gland tumours comprises approximately <25% of all salivary gland tumours. Pleomorphic adenoma is a slow growing benign salivary gland neoplasm characterised by proliferation of parenchymatous glandular cells along with myoepithelial components. It is the most common type of salivary gland tumour and the most common tumour of parotid gland. It is also known as Mixed type salivary gland tumour. It refers to its dual origin from epithelial and myoepithelial elements......
