Abstract: Aim: To observe and evaluate the efficacy of PAP based teeth whitening pen on teeth whitening and sensitivity after 14 days of application. Methods and material: After obtaining ethical approval(SVIEC/ON/DENT/SRP/231801), the study included 15 volunteers who provided consent and had yellowish teeth with a shade darker than A2. Preoperative shade L*, a*, b* coordinates were recorded using a DSLR camera following oral prophylaxis. The volunteers were given a teeth whitening pen and instructed to use it twice a day after brushing their teeth. After a two-week period, the participants returned....

Abstract: Aim: The aim of this in-vitro study was to compare and evaluate the fracture resistance of sound maxillary incisor teeth reattached using different tooth preparation techniques, namely, circumferential chamfer, vertical groove with fibre reinforced composite (FRC) post and internal dentin groove. Materials and Methods: Sixty sound permanent maxillary incisors were mounted in acrylic blocks and divided randomly into four groups (n = 15). In-group A, 15 teeth were retained as positive control in normal saline. The remaining three groups where fragment was to be reattached, a standardized section was made through the middle third of crown, perpendicular.....

Abstract: Dentists have a lot on their plate already without having to worry about how to deal with their young patients' pain. There have been several advancements in local anaesthetic for dentistry in recent years that can be used in conjunction with standard methods to reduce the discomfort patients feel from the syringe and needle and put them at ease. The purpose of this review is to provide dentists with up-to-date information on painless local anesthetic techniques, such as the computer-controlled local anaesthesia delivery system, Jet injectors, Safety dental syringes, and topical anesthetics, and to summarize recent advancements in these areas

Abstract: Introduction : The incidence rate of gastric cancer (GC) in young patients in increasing , with worse clinical features . Our aim was to investigate the clinico-pathological aspects of GC in young patients . Methods : We conduced a descriptive retrospective study conducted in the Department of Gastroenterology unit B, Ibn Sina teaching hospital in Rabat, Morocco during the period from January 2005 to December 2019. 164 patients with GC were enrolled . Out of these, GC in young patient was diagnosed in 31 cases. Results : Young patients represent (under the age of 45 year old ) 18 %. the main symptom was alteration in general condition (87%). The predominant aspect in the endoscopy was the burgeoning ulcer tumor and in histology it was the intestinal type of adenocarcinoma (90.32%) . Diffuse type of adenocarcinoma was found in only 3 patients (9.7%). 24 patients (76,5 %) have been diagnosed in a metastatic stage . Conclusion : GC in young population is mainly distinguished by pathologically poor prognostic factors . An endoscopy screening system is of paramount importance for an early diagnosis to be able to provide curative care.

Abstract: Hypercalcemia is a rare cause of acute pancreatitis ; it is in most cases due to primary hyperparathyroidism. Hypercalcemia of metastatic tumors or multiple myeloma is an atypical etiology of acute pancreatitis. We report a case of acute pancreatitis revealing multiple myeloma by emphasizing the interest of imaging and biological parameters in diagnostic orientation. Case : This is a 65-year-old patient admitted......

Abstract: The existence of gingival crevice fluid (GCF), which emerges between the surface of the tooth and the epithelial integument, has been recognized for over 100years. Since it can be easily collected and contains locally and systemically derived markers of periodontal disease, they may offer the basis for a patient-specific biomarker assessment for periodontitis and other systemic diseases. This article reviews about the GCF and the various biomarkers in GCF used for assessing periodontal disease activity.

Abstract: Antenatal hydronephrosis, the dilation of the fetal urinary tract, is a common prenatal finding, often detected during routine ultrasound screenings. This condition arises from a variety of factors, including Vesicoureteral reflux, Lower urinary tract obstruction (LUTO), Ureterocele, posterior urethral valve, congenital ureteric strictures impacting the kidney's drainage system. Its accurate assessment is essential to guide appropriate management strategies and optimize outcomes. Numerous grading systems, such as APD Grading System, the Society of Fetal Urology (SFU) and the Urinary Tract Dilatation (UTD) classification, aid in evaluating the severity of antenatal hydronephrosis by considering factors like renal pelvis dilation, calyceal involvement, and parenchymal changes. Prognostication.......

Abstract: The hypothesis is that the procedure of fibrin rich in leukocytes and platelets advanced (A-PRF) in ulcerative osteomyelitis of the diabetic foot (DFU) allows therapy from this critical illness. In this exploration, the focus was to standardize the use of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in patients not amputated with osteomyelitis, to use this second-generation platelet concentrate as a regeneration enabler. The researchers submitted and utilized A-PRF membranes (1300 g × 8 min) in 8 patients (all diabetics) with osteomyelitis and cutaneous injury for 6 months at least. The membranes, in amalgamation with the supernatant fluid produced by stress, have been integrated into the skin lesion down to the bone after surgical debridement. The progression of the lesions after some period of time has been analyzed. All 8 subjects had a probe-to-bone positive assay; magnetic resonance imaging indicated.....

Abstract: In the not-so-distant past, if you mentioned AI in the realm of healthcare, you might have conjured visions of robotic doctors, sterile machines conducting intricate surgeries, or even an ominous replacement of human physicians. However, as AI systems become increasingly capable, a question looms over the horizon: Is AI a complement or a competitor to the dedicated human healers, our doctors? To truly grasp the essence of this dynamic, we must venture into the extraordinary, emphasizing the augmentative role of AI in healthcare, underlining that AI is aimed to complement, rather than replace, doctors and healthcare providers. The fundamental solution emerges with the human–AI collaboration, which combines the cognitive strengths of healthcare providers with the analytical capabilities of AI.

Abstract: Premature infants, especially those born less than 1500 g, often exhibit slow overall growth after birth and lack of early nutritional support may be an important element. We tested the hypothesis that early administration of amino acids in a case of infant born with less than 1500 gm weight and its effect on its growth and early development.
