Abstract: Background Knowledge of normal orbital dimensions is essential for the diagnosis of orbital pathologies. Precise orbital measurements can be obtained with reasonable accuracy using computed tomography (CT). The present study was carried out to ascertain criteria for the normative values of the various orbital dimensions using computed tomography in patients visiting our institution .We measured parameters like orbital volume, length of the interzygomatic line , ocular diameter, the distance of the posterior extent of the globe from the interzygomatic line, diameters of....

Abstract: Context: Indelible election ink on left Index fingernail is marker of a person who has casted a vote, during the election. Disappearance of this ink mark from the nail and also from the skin can be considered as a surrogate marker of growth of nail and skin tissue. Aims: To find out fate of nail growth by observing disappearance of indelible election ink mark. Settings and Designs: This longitudinal Study was carried out at the time of 50th legislative assembly election which was held on December 1 and 5 2022 in Gujarat, India....

Abstract: Nanotechnology means creating and utilizing the materials, devices and systems through the control of matter on the nanometer length scale (10−9). The studies on tooth structure provided a basis for nanotechnology-based dental treatments known as 'nanodentistry'. Periodontal diseases are caused by dental plaque that leads to an immune and inflammatory response in the adjacent tissues. Nanotechnology provides the fabrication of new systems that can be incorporated into an active anti-infective part of the periodontal treatment by using nano delivery systems. It is believed that nanotechnology could be applied in various fields of dentistry to maintain good oral health in all possible means.

Abstract: Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is one of the most serious complications of diabetes mellitus.DFUs result from a complex interaction of a numerous risk factors. Once the protective layer of skin is broken, deeper tissues are exposed to micro organisms and the infection progresses rapidly. These patients frequently require amputation of the lower limbs and, in more than half of the cases, infection is the predominant causative factor. We conducted this study to predict the outcome and prognosis of diabetic foot ulcer based on clinical, microbiological and biochemical parameters.

Abstract: Introduction: Pemphigus vulgaris is chronic autoimmune blistering disease affecting skin and mucous membranes, especially oral cavity. Early lesions can occur only in oral cavity. This article aims to report the challenges in treating oral pemphigus vulgaris. Case Presentation: 70-year-old male patient with sore mouth accompanied by blister in chest. Intraoral examination showed sloughing with erosive lesions on almost the entire oral mucosa. Lesions also found in extraoral area. Biopsy from a perilesional lesion on chest showed pemphigus vulgaris. Treatment has been going on for 1 year follow up with an oral medicine specialist and dermato-venerology specialist. He got corticosteroid topical and systemic, for the skin lesion were healed and never get flare up, in contrast with recalcitrant lesions in the oral cavity.....

Abstract: Salivary gland adenocarcinoma not otherwise specified (NOS) is a malignant epithelial tumor composed of ductal/glandular structures with or without cystic formation. Histologically it is classified as high grade with relevant biological behavior. Although both minor and major glands may be involved, the majority (60%) implicate the parotid gland. Location, regional lymph node status, and histological grade are some of the factors that predict the progress of the disease and the development of metastases. Long follow-up is considered the standard option as.......

Abstract: We report a case of a 30-year-old man who complained of abdominal pain and was later diagnosed with calculus cholecystitis. Along with calculous cholecystitis, a Meandering main pancreatic duct was discovered incidentally on MRCP. The meandering main pancreatic duct (MMPD is a rare anatomical variation of the main pancreatic duct, where the main pancreatic duct lacks an aberrant pancreaticobiliary junction but exhibits an irregular curvature at the pancreatic head region. It has two anatomical variations: a loop-type and a reverse Z-type.

Abstract: Background: Salivary gland disorder is an abnormal condition in the salivary glands which can lead to conditions that cause pain in the affected gland, swelling and dry mouth. The most common diseases that affect the salivary glands are developmental disorders, infections, obstructions, inflammation, functional disorders of the salivary glands, benign enlargements and tumors. Careful clinical examination in combination with appropriate radiography imaging will assist the practitioner in identifying the need for further investigations or referring to a specialist. Therefore, clinical dental students need to have a proper knowledge about the disorders in the salivary glands. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of clinical dental students related to salivary gland disorders. Methods: This research......

Abstract: Background: The knee joint is major weight bearing joint, supported by multiple ligamentous and meniscal structures that play an important role in the mobility and stability of the joint1. As this joint undergoes high mechanical stress; prevalence, variety, and severity of meniscal injuries are particularly common. Physical examination coupled with MR Imaging is highly recommended for appropriate management of traumatic knee injury.
