Abstract: Approximately 40% of patients with metastatic cancer have brain metastases, a common complication of the disease. Within the brain's parenchyma, metastases are typically seen to grow in a distinct pattern1. based on their neuroradiological presentation, which shows contrast-enhancing lesions to be more clearly delineated than malignant gliomas, this assumption is made. Even though infiltrative behavior has been observed on occasion 2,3, no studies have examined the histological patterns of invasion in brain metastases to date. The vast majority of brain metastases....

Abstract: Research on factors influencing newborn and child mortality in poor nations has increased, with two main causes being high rates of infant and child death and the relationship between early age mortality and fertility. Parents who fear child loss may choose to have more children to replace lost ones or as insurance against future fatalities. Demographic variables such as age of mother, birth order, and interval between births, sex, and duration of breastfeeding are often interrelated. This study aims to compare maternal education as a factor for infant death in rural and urban areas of DNH. State-level actions, such as the establishment of SNCUs, NBSUs, and NBCCs......

Abstract: The types of liver cirrhosis were discussed, including the definition, causative factors, and the solutions. Liver cirrhosis is defined as a diffuse process characterized by fibrosis and transformation of the normal architecture of the liver into structurally abnormal nodules Liver cirrhosis was described as the final stage of liver disease, which was a resultant effect of previous stages of damage. The causes of Liver cirrhosis comes from the condition that leads to permanent or recurrent hepatocyte death can lead to cirrhosis, such as: chronic alcohol abuse, chronic viral hepatitis (hepatitis B and C), autoimmune hepatitis, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis......

Abstract: Background: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has received a lot of attention as an intra-articular treatment for osteoarthritis symptoms. Platelets that have been activated release a slew of soluble mediators such as growth factors and cytokines, inducing complex interactions that vary across tissues within the joint. Aim of the study: The current study was carried out to assess the outcome of intra-articular platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection in our patients with knee osteoarthritis. Methods: This study was conducted in 250 Bedded General Hospital, Pabna, Bangladesh, from January 2021 to January 2022. The study included....

Abstract: Background: Maternal assessment of fetal movements is the oldest and most commonly used form of evaluation of fetal well-being. A reduction in fetal movement may be subjective, but it may be a sign of impending or existing pathology. So, all the subjects with less fetal movement should be evaluated with Cardiotocography (CTG). CTG provides direct information of fetal condition in contrast to other technique. Acceleration of fetal heart rate is due to intact responsive CNS mechanism. The loss of fetal heart rate variability or decelerations reflect depression of this CNS mechanism. Objectives: Correlation between less fetal movement with CTG findings in order to compare the advantage of CTG......

Abstract: Objective: To determine the association between household food security and infant complementary feeding practices in rural Bangladesh. Methods: Prospective, cohort study using structured home interviews during pregnancy and 3 and 9 months after delivery. We used two indicators of household food security at 3-months follow-up: maternal Food Composition Score (FCS), calculated via the World Food Programme method, and an HHFS index created from an eleven-item food security questionnaire. Infant feeding practices were characterized using WHO definitions. Setting: Two rural sub.....

This study aims to ananlyze contextual determinants in order to identify predictors associated with vaccine dropout among children aged 12 to 23 months in Kisangani. Materials and Methods : A cross-sectional observational study was conducted from October 25, 2022 to February 18, 2023 among mothers of 336 children aged 12 to 23 months in Kisangani. A pre-tested and administered questionnaire was used for data collection based on three-stage cluster sampling. Analyses were performed on STATA 13.....

Abstract: Background: Sleep has several vital functions in children. Inadequate sleep can profoundly impact children's physical and mental health, learning, development, and behaviour. Although sleep studies were done in the past in India, we do not have multiregional/multicentric data in the previous studies. Hence to understand the sleep patterns and problems in Indian children, we conducted a multicentre study at 10 teaching hospitals across India. Materials and Methods: Children between the ages of 1-18 years attending hospitals for minor ailments and immunizations were included in the study. Children with medical disorders or medications that can significantly affect sleep were excluded from the study.....

Abstract: The aim of this retrospective study was to determine the prevalence of the tribe Proteeae, which includes the genera Proteus, Morganella, and Providencia species, in various clinical specimens and to assess their antimicrobial susceptibility patterns in Delhi during January 2020 to December 2022. The tribe Proteeae comprises a group of bacteria within the family Enterobacterales and is responsible for most cases of nosocomial infections in hospital settings. Specimens were collected and screened for Proteeae using the current MALDI-TOF methods for the identification of species within the three genera. Out of 141,526 positive bacterial growth samples, 3,973 (2.8%) were identified as members of the tribe Proteeae, of which....

Abstract: Eagle's syndrome, also known as elongated styloid process, is a condition that may be the source of craniofacial and cervical pain. It is infrequently reported but is more common than generally considered. The symptoms related to Eagle's syndrome can be confused with those attributed to a wide variety of facial neuralgias and/or oral, dental and TMJ diseases. These symptoms are familiar to dentists and can indicate a broad range of dental conditions also. The simple diagnostic procedure of palpation of the tonsillar fossa should be a routine during oral examination by the dentist also and Eagle's syndrome must be considered as a differential diagnosis of hemifacial pain of obscure causation. This condition can be managed by nonsurgical and surgical means but here we are presenting three case reports of Eagle's syndrome managed successfully by conservative means.
