Abstract: Background: Decompressive craniectomy (DC) has emerged as a vital intervention for various neurological conditions, aiming to alleviate intracranial pressure and improve patient outcomes. However, the optimal extent of decompression remains debatable, balancing the benefits of reducing intracranial pressure against the risks of complications such as paradoxical herniation.
