Abstract: Summary syndromic macrosomia is characterized by excessive fetal growth associated with malformations. It is due to various genetic anomalies; the vital prognosis depends on the types and severity of the malformations or associated factors. Clinical Case: This is an average premature newborn of 35 weeks, female, admitted to the neonatology unit for polymalformative syndrome. She was...

Abstract: Background: stroke is a major cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide.combined carotid intima –media thickness(cimt) is a marker of atherosclerosis and is also a predictor for ischemic stroke.increased intima-media thickness is a non-invasive marker of arterial wall alteration, which can easily be assessed in carotid arteries by high resolution b-mode ultrasound. Objectives:to determine cimt and serum lipid levels in patient of ischemic stroke. Materials and methods:this study was conducted between january 2023 and january 2024 at department of radiodiagnosis in......

Abstract: Background: The musculocutaneous nerve (C5, 6, 7) is one of the terminal branches of the lateral cord of brachial plexus. It pierces coracobrachialis a variable distance below the tip of the coracoid process and then descends laterally between biceps brachii and brachialis to the lateral side of the arm. It supplies coracobrachialis, both heads of biceps brachii and most of brachialis, and continues as the lateral cutaneous nerve of forearm, running down the lateral aspect of the forearm. The musculocutaneous nerve has frequent variations. The....

Abstract: Celiac disease (CD) is an autoimmune disorder triggered by the ingestion of gluten, in genetically predisposed patients. The association with other autoimmune diseases is frequent, which makes it necessary to systematically search for them. Our study had for objective to evaluate the prevalence of these autoimmune diseases in CD adult patients, insisting on the importance of systematic screening given their frequent asymptomatic character. It was a retrospective....

Abstract: Background: Composite resin has become indispensable in modern restorative dentistry, but its polymerization process in air leads to the formation of an oxygen inhibition layer (OIL), affecting interlayer bond strength. The thickness of the OIL is crucial, influencing interfacial homogeneity, composite interdiffusion, and mechanical strength. Despite advancements in composite technology, variations in OIL thickness persist among different composite types, attributed to filler content, resin matrix, and diluent composition. While an OIL has traditionally been deemed necessary for composite........

Abstract: Craniosynostosis is a condition resulting from premature fusion of the cranial sutures, leading to skull deformities and potentially increased intracranial pressure. We report our experience in managing 112 cases of craniosynostosis over a period from 2013 to 2019, with surgical techniques including open calvarial reconstruction for various disease presentations. Operability criteria include functional and cosmetic impairment, as well as increased intracranial.....
