Abstract: Today, manufacturing companies worldwide are prioritizing sustainability to acquire economic benefits. Implementing reverse logistics programs was seen as a viable option to reduce the adverse impacts of production and obtain a competitive advantage. Investigation has shown that enhancing operational performance leads to the attainment of edge over competitors. Nevertheless, the issue remains as to whether the implementation of reverse logistics generates a comparative advantage which ultimately results in acquiring a competitive edge for industrial firms. The research aimed to investigate the impact of reverse logistics on competitive advantage through operational performance of a business. The findings of the study shown that the mediating effect of operational performance between the association of reverse logistics and competitive advantages. The limitation and future suggestions discussed in the end.
