Abstract: Condylar hyperplasia is a complex deformity of temporomandibular joint, which involves excessive growth of condyle. Asymmetric facial deformity is one of the consequence of condylar hyperplasia, which may often cause an alteration of dental occlusion with unilateral cross bite or open bite . This case demonstrates the treatment modality, which was given to the patient to get optimum outcome of esthetic and occlusion.

Abstract: Background: Intestinal helminthiasis is associated with malnutrition in children. Aim: The objective of this study was to assess the relationship between intestinal helminthiasis and the nutritional status of school children Obio-Akpor LGA, Rivers State,Nigeria. Subjects and Methods: It was a descriptive cross-sectional study of 367 children conducted in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers, south-south Nigeria between September and November 2016. The physical growth of the pupils was classified as stunting, underweight and thinness.......

Abstract: The long-term success of endodontic treatment. Mandibular premolars exhibit a greater variation in their internal morphology due to the occurrence of additional roots and root canals. A review of the literature reveals that the presence of third canal in all types of premolars has very low incidence of 0.5%. Diagnostic means such as pre-operative radiographs and examination of the pulp chamber floor aid the location of root canal orifices. The diagnostic and therapeutic problems concerning premolars with unusual anatomy are described on the basis of a clinical example. This case report describes the successful treatment of mandibular second premolar with three root canals.

Abstract: Replacement of the missing or lost teeth is one of the major challenges faced by the dentists, especially in children. Since years, many modes of treatment options have been available such as removable temporary acrylic prosthesis or resinbonded bridges variety of therapeutic modalities, and from implants to conventional Maryland bridges. But the recent inception of fibre-reinforced composites (FRCs) in tooth replacement therapy has opened a new perspective in the field of restorative dentistry. Fibre-reinforced composites have been incorporated with better properties with flexural strength and fracture resistance. FRC bridges are easy, minimally invasive and reversible and a single visit procedures. It also lets other options viable for future, if need be. This paper presents a case of a missing mandibular left central incisor, which were replaced with acrylic tooth pontic using fibre-reinforced composite.

Abstract: Immediate replacement of periodontally compromised tooth bears a challenging task due to poor abutment support. The use of natural tooth as pontic provides an excellent technique mainly as it helps the patient to cope up from the loss of the tooth. Replacement of missing anterior teeth due to periodontal reasons is challenging due to the poor support of abutment teeth. This prevents the use of fixed partial dentures(FPDs).Fiber reinforce composite (FRC) resins offer a conservative, fast, and cost-effective alternative for single and multiple teeth replacement and may prove to be a successful modality for aesthetic and functional replacement of missing teeth along with periodontally compromised abutments, which has always been a challenge for the dentist. This case report describes the splinting of a natural tooth pontic that was extracted due to severe periodontal disease (to adjacent teeth) using fibre‑ reinforced splint and composite resin with minimal cost.

Abstract: Immediate implant placement following tooth extraction in appropriately selected cases has been considered
the optimal procedure for the following reasons: the natural healing process are mobilized to the
maximum, no bone resorption has taken place yet, drilling is reduced, a number of surgical stages
are eliminated, design and construction of prosthesis is simplified, and positive psychological effect on
the patient. In this case report a satisfied aesthetic outcome was achieved with immediate implant placement.

Abstract: The evolution of Dentistry is dependant on the development and refinement of the principles we rely on for the understanding and application of current dental techniques. The Golden Proportion, a mathematical ratio, represents beauty, harmony and balance in physical form. Over the centuries, this geometric constant has influenced architecture, biological systems, mathematics and art. This ratio is believed to hold the key to the secret of beauty and finds its representation in innumerous natural and manmade masterpieces. The paper discusses various aspects of this ratio and their relevance in human aesthetics.

Abstract: In young patients uncomplicated crown fractures are frequent dental injuries. The immediate fragment
reattachment is the choice of treatment for uncomplicated anterior crown fracture as it is a very conservative
treatment, rehabilitates function and aesthetics in a short time by preserving dental tissues. The aim of this
article is to present a case report and explain the clinical procedures for the immediate fragment reattachment.

Abstract: INTRODUCTION – Cirrhosis is thetenthleading cause of death in India. It has multiple complications like ascites, varices, hepatopulmonary syndrome and hepatorenal syndrome.RI being abetter predictor of hepatorenal syndrome can be used to evaluate the possibility of developing this complication before serum creatinine estimation. AIIMS AND OBJECTIVE-our aim was to study the renal resistance index as a predictor of early renal impairment in patients with liver cirrhosis through renal colour doppler ultrasound and correlation with serum creatinine MATERIAL AND METHODS - our study was a hospital based observational prospective study conducted over a period of 18......
