Abstract: Introduction: The use of natural teeth as abutments for overdenture has become a logic solution of the extraction of the present teeth over the previous decades. In comparison with complete dentures, roots remaining under the denture base help in keeping the alveolar ridge, provide sensory feedback and improve the stability of the dentures. Aim of the Work: The purpose of the present study was to evaluate clinically and radiologically (Panoramic x-ray) the effect of using canine supported overdenture and its effect on alveolar bone at different sites by new computerized method to preserve it and improving function, aesthetic and psychological factors..........

Abstract: Introduction: Pantomography is the most suitable method for radiographic images indicated in dental evaluation. The word panoramic denotes to an unlimited vision of a site in all important available direction. The detection of the anatomical and structural relationships of mandible and its structure related to it as mandibular canal, mental nerve, incisive canal, and mental foramen and determination of the mental foramen site can assess to gain sufficient dose of local anesthetic solution and to reduce the accidental deterioration during surgical treatments........

Abstract: Treatment of obstructive sleep apnea is still a matter of debate. Among different therapeutic alternatives – surgical and conservative treatment with (CPAP) is considered the "gold standard". We evaluated the role of epiglottis in snoring and OSA and tried to explore the possible options of treatment. We developed a surgical technique that provides a stable support to the epiglottis without influencing its function during swallowing while preserving laryngeal anatomy and physiology

Abstract: Molecular imaging, as defined by the Society of Nuclear Medicine, is "the visualization, characterization and measurement of biological processes at the molecular and cellular levels in humans and other living systems" [1]. Molecular imaging techniques typically include molecular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), optical bioluminescence, optical fluorescence, targeted ultrasound, single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), and positron emission tomography (PET). Continued development and the wider availability of scanners dedicated to small animal imaging studies, can provide a similar in vivo imaging capability in mice, primates, and human, can enable smooth transfer of knowledge and molecular measurements between species, thereby facilitating clinical translation of novel imaging agents and techniques. This brief review will summarize the several methods for non-invasive cell tracking for adoptive immunotherapy of malignant tumours.

Abstract: Aim: This article mainly describes the fundamental designing technique in improving the retention, stability and support of the definitive obturator prosthesis, and to improve the psychological status and normal social habits of patient. Background: Maxilla is one of the most important midface structures which separate the oral, antral and orbital cavities. The defect created as a consequence of hemimaxillectomy leads to difficulties with speech, swallowing, mastication, and aesthetic which eventually affect the quality of life. Case description: This case report describes the restoring of maxillary defect with obturator prosthesis helps to replace missing hard and soft tissues and also enable swallowing, mastication, and a speech by closing the oronasal or oroantral communication. Conclusion: Post-surgical maxillary defects.........

Abstract: A distomolar is a supernumerary tooth which is located distal to third molars. Supernumerary teeth are developmental anomalies having various etiology. These teeth either erupt into the oral cavity or may be embedded in the jaw bones. They can cause impediment to the normal development and eruption of the teeth and sometimes may be associated with inflammatory processes. Supernumerary teeth are commonly found in maxilla. Here, we present a rare case report of bilateral impacted distomolars in mandible and their surgical removal.

Abstract: A comparative study of Mayo's repair with open mesh repair in case of umbilical and Paraumbilical hernia. Background Adult umbilical and paraumbilical hernia is a surgical condition most commonly seen in women. In the 3rd and 4th decades in life and in males much later. There is no consensus as to the ideal Treatment of this condition. There are many other co morbidities associated with this Conditions(BPH, Bronchitis, ascitis etc). Methods This is a randomized controlled trial from January 2020 to January 2021 ,fifty patients with adult Umbilical and paraumbilical hernia were admitted in the Department of General Surgery, GMKMCH, Salem,Tamilnadu Operative technique included Mayo's repair (n=23) and prosthetic mesh repair(n=27).The Anaesthesia of choice was spinal anaesthesia. The mesh used was polypropylene mesh,Parameters like BMI, number of pregnancy and other illness were taken in account...........

Abstract: Background - The spinal traumas are common and leading problem in orthopaedic practice..Thoracolumbar fractures are serious injuries of concern, if left untreated may result in marked morbidity and disability to the patient. The fractures to spine are reported to be around 6% approximately of the trauma patients, of which around 2.6% of the patients sustains spinal cord or nerve root level neurological injury. Such fractures are commonly associated with motor and sensory disturbance, bladder and bowel disturbances, erectile dysfunction. The use of decompression with pedicle screw fixation for preservation of remaining spinal cord function, restoration of spinal alignment, achievement of pain free fracture site, early mobilisation and maximal neurological recovery in thoracolumbar spinal injury patients.....

Abstract: Introduction: Atypical antipsychotics are widely used in the treatment of many psychotic disorders. They are as effective as first-generation antipsychotics and also cause a lower incidence of EPS. Despite their uses, atypical antipsychotics do have some side effects. There is a high risk of metabolic syndrome. The current study highlights weight gain patterns in patients using second-generation antipsychotics. AIM: To compare changes in the weight andwaist circumference in patients on second generation antipsychotics......
