Abstract: Rationale: Dengue is an arthropod-borne viral infection transmitted to humans through bites of infected female Aedes mosquitoes. Pulmonary manifestations are rare can present as pleural effusion, pneumonia, non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema, acute respiratory distress syndrome which coincides with decreased platelet count and capillary leakage.
Patient concern: pleural effusion, pneumonia, pneumothorax
Intervention: fluids, antibiotics, analgesics and antipyretics, intercostal drainagetube.
Conclusion: Pulmonary manifestations in dengue fever are rare. Dengue fever can be considered as a differential diagnosis in patients with pleural effusion and pulmonary infiltrates if recognized early and intervened to prevent mortality..

Abstract: Background: Regulatory T cells play a critical role in maintenance immunological tolerance while preserving tumour and microbial immunity. Several clinical trials have found that Tregs can treat and prevent graft versus host disease (GVHD, without increasing the risk of relapse and infection. Tregs are identified by co-expression of CD4, high expression of CD25 and Foxp3. Foxp3is specifically expressed in Tregs and is important to control their stability and development. . Abstract: Carcinoma cervix is one of the leading causes of death of the female population in developing countries. PAP test or PAP Smear is a screening test widely used to identify potentially pre-cancerous & cancerous lesion of the cervix. It was invented by Georgios Papanikolaou in 1920 and introduced in cervical cytological screening in 1940. Cervical lesions if treated in earlier stages, the patient can be cured of the disease because cervical cancer has very long pre-invasive stage. PAP test represents the most effective technique to prevent and detect the precancerous conditions of the uterine cervix before they becomes invasive cancer, its false negative yield due to the potential sampling and interpretation errors yield is still a reason of concern. Abstract: Background :Hereditary palmoplantar keratodermas (HPPKD) are a heterogenous group of keratinizing disorders classified based upon their mode of inheritance, age of onset, morphology and distribution of palmoplantar thickening.Clinically classified into four major types :1.Diffuse2.Focal3.Striate and 4.Punctate.They are more prone for secondary infections like tinea pedis, tinea manuum, pitted keratolysis and maceration of skin.As they are rare disorders, literature reports are based on individual family reports.Only few studies are available about the prevalence of palmoplantar keratoderma in the Indian population till date.
