Abstract: Background: Fruits contains nutritional elements that aids digestion, cell, tissue, organ and systems proliferation and development. This study is aimed at investigating the hazardous consequences of the intake of Calcium Carbide forced ripened orange juice on the haematological properties of the Wistar rats. Materials and Methods: Mature unripe oranges were plucked off from the parent plant in LEM-NAT farm in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State . The fruits were divide into two groups, one group was kept and allowed to ripe at normal room temperature and the other group was induced with Calcium Carbide to ripe. 600g of both the naturally ripened and calcium.......

Abstract: Autism is a complex developmental disorder characterized by marked impairments in social interaction and communication accompanied by arrange of repetitive behaviors and restricted interests. Along with pervasive developmental disorder–notother wise specified(PDD-NOS),which is typically characterized by less severe impairments and more atypical presentation, autism belongs to the class known as autism spectrum disorders (ASDs).Although the diagnosis of ASDs can be reliably assigned at approximately the second birthday. The symptoms typically emerge when the individual is aged 6 to 18 months. There are no known biological markers for ASDs; the etiology.....

Abstract: The disease was spreading at an alarming speed. In D.Y. Patil Nerul, the first case was discovered in our hospital in the month of March 2020. It amassed intense attention globally due to uncontrolled spread and deaths worldwide. COVID 19 pneumonia infection primarily affects the lung showing typical HRCT changes - ground glass opacities (Most common feature) which are multi-focal and centrilobular, peripheral and subpleural in distribution with associated airspace consolidation, vascular dilatation, fibrotic changes in the form of traction bronchiectasis, fibrosis and crazy paving pattern. There is variable HRCT pattern in resolution / absorptive stage of COVID 19 pneumonitis. These changes range from complete resolution in the......

Abstract: Early childhood caries (ECC) is a diet-induced disease characterized by early onset and rapid progression. It results in functional, aesthetic and psychological disturbances of the child, accompanied by great concern from the parents and the dentist. The late consequences may continue long after its initial treatment as malnutrition, low self-esteem, decay and malocclusion in permanent dentition. Preventive measures cannot, and will not, work unless parents and caregivers follow and adhere to the preventive methods being prescribed. Dentists, other health professionals, and the public community must also recognize that ECC is not simply an individual problem. Rather, it takes a collaborative effort to make the necessary improvements for these young children to be able to receive the proper dental care that they deserve.

Abstract: Melorheostosis with osteopoikilosis is a rare sclerosing bone dysplasia, combining the clinical and radiological features of melorheostosis and osteopoikilosis ,that has been reported in some families with osteopoikilosis and that is characterized by a variable presentation of limb pain and deformities. Melorheostosis is a rare sclerosing bone dysplasia that affects both cortical bone and adjacent soft tissue structures in a sclerotomal distribution. Melorheostosis may present as mixed or atypical osseous involvement in addition to the classically described "dripping candle wax" appearance of hyperostosis. Osteopoikilosis (OPK) is a benign, rare, asymptomatic osteosclerotic bone dysplasia which is inherited as an autosomal dominant trait. It may develop during childhood and persists throughout life. Diagnosis is usually made incidentally according to radiographs. It may be confused with other conditions, such as osteoblastic metastases.......

Abstract: Background:With day to day increase in Road Traffic Accidents, there is also a considerable increase in the incidence of proximal tibia fractures. Knee is a major weight bearing joint of the lower limb consequently any fractures involving the proximal tibia will definitely compromise the knee function and stability.Proper anatomical reduction and soft tissue management is necessary for obtaining stable, congruent mobile joint. With the development of LCP (Locking Compression Plate),and MIPPO (Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Plate Osteosynthesis) technique has revolutionized the treatment of proximal tibia fractures which help in minimizing soft tissue injuries and damage to vascular integrity......

Abstract: This review focuses on hypertension, other cardiovascular diseases and some new developments in their managements. Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease of increasing medical and public health importance. It is a risk factor for myocardial infarction, stroke and chronic renal failure. Cardiovascular diseases have been recognized as a major cause of death in man and animals across the globe and it has placed enormous economic burden on patients, families, pet owners and national economy. A great number of pets have hypertension and cardiovascular diseases that are unnoticed until the animals are presented with sudden blindness, kidney failure and other end-organ damages. Many have.....

Abstract: A migraine is a headache that can cause severe throbbing pain usually on one side of the head left or right.Migraine is often accompanied by vomiting, nausea and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. This pain attacks can last for hours to days, and the pain can be so severe that it interferes with the daily activities. The aim of the acupuncture treatment is to increase blood circulation and help the body to release pain-relieving chemicals. Acupuncture needles stimulate the nerves to release hormones such as endorphins and trigger a response from the body. The stimulation of the immune and circulation system is what relieves migraines and tension headaches. In this artical......

Abstract: Background: Infertility is one of the common problems that can lead to a detrimental effect on life of couples trying to conceive.[1] Studies suggest that males are responsible in 30-50% cases of infertility.[1-5] As an alternative to testicular biopsy the fine needle aspiration cytology of the testis is being used increasingly to find out the cause of azoospermia. Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate diagnostic accuracy of testicular FNAC in cases of azoospermia. Subjects and Methods: It is a prospective study for a period of 10 months from March 2021 to December 2021 in which 35patients, aged 20-38 years with zero sperm count (Azoospermia) were included FNA was done.......

Abstract: Background:Bell's palsy, an idiopathic facial palsy is the most common cause of an acute unilateral peripheral facial weakness. It is well known that the standard treatment for Bell's palsy are steroids. The complete recovery rate for Bell's palsy after onset of prednisolone treatment within 72 hours is already known since decades, but there are no clear data on the efficacy of prednisolone started later than 72 hour. As many of the patients present beyond 72 hours of onset of symptoms; so the aim of this study is to evaluate the role of oralsteroids after 72 hours of onset of symptom and to compare the outcome between the subsets of patients who were started early(<72 hours) and those who were......
