Abstract: Introduction Creation of apical plug in blunderbuss apices with repeated intracanal application of calcium hydroxide has been outweighed by MTA due to its sealing ability in the interface and opening of dentinal tubules, through precipitation of hydroxyapatite crystals. Antibacterial property due to its alkaline ph and biocompatibility and its propensity for cementogenesis and osteogenesis, all leads to true apical healing........

Abstract: Pulp canal calcifications are one of the most commonly observed situations in day to day life endodontics. Most common reasons for these calcifications can be either trauma, chronic caries, pulpal responses to the various restorative procedures etc. These calcifications pose difficulties for negotiation of the apical foramen which can be successfully achieved by newer advancements in endodontics such as Guided endodontics. This is a case presentation of Guided endodontics done in the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics of Meghna Institute of Dental Sciences, Nizamabad. A patient with symptomatic apical periodontitis with obliterated canal space in retaion to 11 came to the department. The apical foramen was negotiated with the help of Guided Endodontics with CBCT and using guided slots.Obturation was done by gutta-percha and zinc oxide eugenol

Abstract: Granulocytic sarcoma (GS) is a localized infiltrate of immature granulocytes in an extramedullary site. It is generally associated with leukemia. However, it can also occur in other myeloproliferative disorders. While it can impact any part of the body, its manifestation in the oral cavity is rare. This study presents a rare case of GS affecting the oral cavity of a male, 29 years in age and with a history of paresthesia. We performed a segmental mandibulectomy as treatment and then recommended chemotherapy post-histopathological evaluation. The surgical outcomes were satisfactory as the patient remained in remission for 10 months.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Spinal anesthesia is one of the most widely used regional anesthesia technique, providing adequate sensory as well as motor blockade. Hyperbaric racemic bupivacaine is one of the most frequently used long acting agent for intrathecal anesthesia. But adverse effects like profound myocardial depression and even cardiac arrest can occur after accidental intravascular injection. With the introduction of levobupivacaine, the pure S (-) enantiomer of bupivacaine, a safer alternative to racemic isomer of bupivacaine is available– which has lower cardio and neuro toxic effects.......

Abstract: Arthroscopically assisted mini-open repair technique is the gold standard for rotator cuff repair. A prospective study was conducted between January 2020 to December 2021 in the Department of Orthopaedics, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University with one year follow up. A total of 16 patients between 20 to 60 years of age, who had tear in the rotator cuff tendon was treated by arthroscopic assisted mini open rotator cuff repair by the same surgeon. Shoulder function assessments were made with University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) rating scale and Short Form Health Survey questionnaire (SF-36). Mean age of the 16 patients included was 39.69 ± 11.36 years. Most common.....

Abstract: The incidences and prevalence of sutural bones are more common, the formation of sutural bones still unclear but sutural bones were associated with certain genetic syndromes including medical conditions such as osteogenesis imperfecta, cleidocranial dysplasia, craniosynostosis, increased intracranial pressure and hydrocephalus, their association with a number of clinical conditions highlights their importance in medical research. Wormian bones, are small bones found within the sutures or joints between the bones of the skull, the most common location being in lambdoid suture. In our study, we have used total number of 108, unknown sex of dry craniums. All the cranial bones were observed carefully for sutural bones, noted the presence of sutural bones shape, unilateral or bilateral....

Abstract: The major area that needs to be streamlined in a hospital is discharge process of patients which is directly related to patients' satisfaction. In addition, a delayed discharge will affect bed-turnover ratio and may lead to increased risk of infections. The process involves coordination and cooperation of many departments of the hospital. The present study was taken up with the objective of understanding the various steps of a discharge process in a teaching hospital, the average time taken for a discharge and to analyze the reasons for delay. The study was done for a period of.....

Abstract: Peripheral artery disorders and diabetic peripheral neuropathy are microvascular consequences. Additionally, many diabetic patients who are unaware of these issues develop foot ulcers, which in turn trigger gangrene formation and lower extremity amputation. The objective of this study is to study the prevalence of peripheral artery disease in diabetic foot ulcer patients. The secondary objective of this study is to determine the determinants of PAD among diabetic foot ulcer cases.

Abstract: Background: Denture base acts as main foundation of denture and receives forces then distribute them to supporting structures. Polyamide's demands are high because of its esthetic, good color mimicking gingiva and can be used instead of metal clasp. The main problem of this material is high water sorption, surface roughness, bacterial contamination, color change, and difficulty in polishing. Surface roughness contributes in plaque accumulation, microorganism retention and potentially harm supporting structures of denture. Recently, a modified polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is reported to be used as framework instead of metal framework because of its low surface roughness. The purpose of this literature review is to know the role of PEEK as alternative denture base material in terms of surface roughness....

Abstract:Tuberculosis and COVID-19 are two serious diseases that primarily affect the lungs. Co-infection TB and SARS-CoV-2 pose a serious risk of COVID-19 with increased mortality. We report the observation of a 28-year-old patient, admitted for febrile miliary assessment, whose PCR revealed co-infection tuberculosis, COVID-19 and enterovirus.
