Abstract: Background: The Medium frontal flap is an effective technique for reconstructing lesions on the nose and upper eyelid, offering good aesthetic results. Non-melanoma skin cancer, particularly basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, is the primary cause of these lesions, often due to sun exposure. The high incidence of these conditions poses a challenge for plastic surgeons seeking to optimize aesthetic outcomes. Materials and Methods: This study included 9 patients (4 women and 5 men, aged between 44 and 82 years) operated on between November.....

Abstract: Background: A bone graft is living tissue that may stimulate bone repair when transplanted into a bone defect, either alone or combined with additional materials. In practice, dentists frequently encounter situations that require bone grafts for dental and oral treatments. Therefore, dental students as potential dentists and dentists as healthcare practitioners must have knowledge related to bone graft materials. The aim of this research is to determine the variations in knowledge levels regarding bone graft materials among pre-clinical students of the Faculty of Dentistry at USU, clinical students of the Faculty of Dentistry at USU, and general dentists in Medan City....

Abstract: Gingival displacement is an important procedure in fabricating indirect restorations. Gingival displacement is relatively simple and effective when dealing with healthy gingival tissues and when margins are properly placed 1. The most common technique used for gingival displacement is use of gingival dilatation cord with a hemostatic medicament2. A cord of sufficient diameter (000/ 00) should be used to provide adequate lateral displacement to create a mean sulcular width of 0.2 mm. The optimum position of the margin is 0.5 mm from the healthy free gingival margin.....

Abstract: The PROSPER trial, a randomized study conducted by Senapati et al.,1 aimed to compare different surgical treatments for rectal prolapse. This ambitious study is commendable for its scale and scope, being the largest randomized trial in this specific area of colorectal surgery. The PROSPER trial, comparing rectopexy and resection rectopexy, was the largest study with 270 patients, resulting in a severe underpowered study. The Birmingham-based study, strongly publicized and endorsed by ACPGBI, was published in all major journals. The trial showed no differences between various sub groups, such as abdominal or perineal procedures, Suture and mesh rectopexy and Delerome's and Atemteier's procedures. The study's sub-optimal sample size and power analysis should not......

Abstract: "Dentistry isn't costly, negligence is". Preventive dentistry is defined as procedures employed in practice of dentistry and community dental health programs, which prevent the occurrence of oral diseases and oral abnormalities. Its goal emphasizes on importance of any delay or eliminates future prosthodontic treatment, focuses on various objectives such as delaying the residual ridge resorption, which is aided by fabrication of complete denture as well as partial denture whether removable or fixed, to assess the need for early prosthodontic replacement of lost tooth/teeth, to design prosthesis not interfering with normal oro-dental hygiene procedures, plan and preserve what already exists than replacing what is missing........
