Abstract: Introduction: Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCL) is widely used as a chemical irrigant for endodontic therapy due to its antibacterial and organic tissue dissolution properties. The remnants and by-products of NaOCL exhibit a negative effect on the polymerization of dental adhesive systems. On the other hand, these compromised bond strength to NaOCL-treated dentin could be restored by antioxidant solution before the adhesive procedure, as it interacts with the by-products of NaOCL. This study aimed to evaluate the anti-oxidant efficacy of sodium thiosulphate, peracetic acid and gallic acid on the recovery of shear bond strength to pulp chamber dentin treated with NaOCL and......

Abstract: Introduction: Paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria is a rare clonal disorder of hematopoietic stem cells. It is the only hemolytic anemia with acquired mutation in hematopoietic stem cell where one or several hematopoietic stem cells acquire a somatic mutation of PIGA gene (phosphatidyl inositol glycan class A) which is responsible for production of GPI (Glycosylphosphatidylinositol) anchored proteins resulting in defect in CD55 and CD59 causing intravascular complement mediated hemolysis. Pregnancy worsens the clinical manifestations of Paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria, increasing maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality......

Abstract: Background: Provisional self-cure polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) materials are extensively utilized in fabrication of temporary crowns. However, these materials are susceptible to microbial colonization and demonstrate suboptimal mechanical properties. This study aims to evaluate the impact of incorporating lemongrass essential oil (LGEO) and tea tree oil (TTO) into PMMA on enhancing its transverse strength.

Abstract: The term "pulp calcification" describes the build-up of hard tissue following dental trauma in the root canal space. Even though obliterated pulp chambers are frequently found in dental practices, access to them and the ensuing canal negotiation remain difficult for practitioners because of the higher risk of iatrogenic errors such as ledging, gouging & perforation. In this case report, a male patient aged 43 years reported with complaint of discoloured maxillary central incisor having history of trauma 10 years ago. On clinical examination, the tooth was tender on......

Abstract: Restoration of the severely worn dentition is one of the most challenging procedures in dentistry. In order to successfully restore and maintain the teeth, one must gain insight into how the teeth arrived at this state of destruction. Gradual wear of the occlusal surfaces of teeth is a customary process during the life time of a patient but excessive occlusal wear can result in pulpal injury, occlusal disharmony, impaired function and aesthetic deformity. In this article we are presenting a case report of full mouth rehabilitation for a patient with severe tooth wear, resulting in reduced VDO by using Hobo Twin table technique.
