Abstract: The natal and neonatal teeth have been associated for many years with various superstitions. Natal teeth are more common than the neonatal teeth, with the ratio being approximately 3 : 1 and are more in the mandibular incisor area. Natal teeth are present at birth and neonatal teeth are those which erupt within one month post partum. Because of their immature appearance and minimal root, they become hypermobile. They can irritate the baby's tongue during......

Abstract: In recent years, there has been a trend of increasing incidence, which is largely due to the wide increase in the possibilities and availability of early instrumental diagnostics. The neoplasms of the organ of vision are characterized by significant polymorphism, which is due to the histological diversity of the structures in the eye socket. Almost all types of neoplasms described in humans are found in the orbit. In a retrospective study, which included 2480 patients with orbital tumors, a 68% specific share of benign tumors was verified morpho-histologically, among which dermoid cysts (14%) and cavernous hemangiomas (9%) took the leading position. The paper presents the results of the study of 67 patients with pathological processes of the orbit, whose ages ranged......

Abstract: Granular cell tumor is a rare benign soft tissue tumor that most likely arises from Schwann cells. A 19 year old female reported with nodular swelling of size 1 x 1 cm on the dorsum of the tongue for a period of 3 months. Excision biopsy showed the presence of connective tissue stroma with sheets of polygonal cell having eosinophilic inclusions and pustulouvuloid bodies of milan. IHC marker S-100 positive confirmed neural variant of granular cell tumor.

Abstract: Introduction: Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) is a systemic granulomatous mycosis caused by fungi of the genus Paracoccidioides. Its gateway is generally the respiratory system, with the lungs being the most affected organ. Objective: To demonstrate how the diagnosis, treatment and management of possible complications associated with the disease are carried out, as well as the development of material to raise awareness among the scientific population about Paracoccidioidomycosis. Methodology: This is an observational, descriptive case report study, discussing the clinical case of a male patient with Severe Pulmonary Paracoccidioidomycosis admitted to the Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Goiânia between April and May 2024......

Abstract: Introduction: Transfusional safety remains a major concern in our environment where the permanent availability of the screening tests is not always guaranteed. The first aim of this work is to highlight the prevalence of HBV, HCV and HIV infections and to encourage systematic screening for these viruses. The second aim is to identify the risk incurred by the transfused person depending on whether the blood donor is a loyal blood donor or an improvised family donor. Methods: We conducted a.....

Abstract: Implant placement is the standard treatment for tooth loss in patients with completed bone development. The use of implants in some cases is difficult and sometimes impossible due to the lack of adequate bone volume. An adequate amount of bone tissue determines the correct prosthetic position of the implant, resulting in a favorable aesthetic result and minimizing complications. The authors of the study.....
