Abstract: With the addition of laparoscopy in the armamentarium of surgeon, a prospective randomized study was carried out by a single surgeon regarding safety and feasibility of early laparoscopic appendicectomy for appendicular mass. The single surgeon study is having the added advantage of maintenance of uniformity in the evolution of patients, operative and post operative management.

Title | : | Her2/ Neu and Ki -67 Immunohistochemical Expression in Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the Urinary Bladder (A Clinicopathological Study) |
Country | : | Iraq |
Authors | : | Noora Ali Jawad || Dr. Hussam Hasson Ali || Mohammed Subhi Kamal |
Abstract: Urinary bladder carcinoma is one of the most common cancer worldwide, it is the fourth most common cancer in men and the eighth in women in the world. In Iraq bladder carcinoma is the second most common cancer in males and the tenth in females according to Iraqi Cancer Registry. About 95% of bladder tumors are of epithelial origin, and TCC accounts for 90% of all bladder cancers. Few studies had been done about the role of (Her2/Neu and Ki-67) in urothelial carcinoma of the bladder .The present study has used the 2004 WHO grading system of urothelial carcinoma and the AJCC/UICC T staging system of the urothelial carcinoma of the bladder .

Title | : | Enhancing Smile throughVeneers- A Case Report. |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Krupali Shah || Dr. N. Vimala || Dr. Lalitagauri Mandke |
Abstract:Re-establishing a patient's lost natural dental esthetics is one of the most important topics of today's
dentistry, in addition to function and phonation.A major factor in achieving an elusive dominant characteristics
called personality is a captivating smile showing an even row of natural gleaming white teeth. In order to solve
such problems, the technique preferred most frequently is to cover teeth with dental crowns.However, major
disadvantages of crowns is excessive preparations of teeth and damages to surrounding tissues, such as
gingiva.Therefore, in recent years, laminate veneer restorations, are more esthetic and conservative treatment
option, used in dentistry.

Title | : | Lip Repositioning: Beyond the Periodontium, Periodontics – A Case Report. |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr Himanshu Trivedi || Prof N D Gupta || Prof Afshan Bey || Dr Vivek Kumar Sharma |
Abstract: A gummy smile or a high smile line may lead to a poor smile which can have impact on patient's appearance and confidence. This case report summarizes the use of surgical lip repositioning technique for the management of a gummy smile. Clinical considerations: The procedure limits the muscle pull of the elevator muscles of the lip by shortening the vestibule, thus reducing the gingival display when smiling.

Title | : | The Effect of T-Pa Administration In-Hospital Mortality in Hispanic Puerto Rican Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke |
Country | : | United State Of America |
Authors | : | Alobaid Dhari M || Alanazy Faisal S || Alanezi Manea K || Aldham Sami || Acuna Juan M || Zevallos Juan C |
Abstract:Stroke is the fourth leading cause of mortality in Puerto Rico. Tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) improves acute ischemic stroke(AIS) outcomes when administered timely; however, there is limited information regarding the association of t-PA administration and mortality in Hispanics. Objective: To investigate if t-PA affects mortality rate among AIS patients in Puerto Rico.
Material And Methods: We conducted a secondary data analysis of 1950 patients in the Puerto Rico Stroke Registry, a non-concurrent cohort study , during years 2007, 2009, and 2011.We reviewed medical record of adult patients with AIS .Patients with transient ischemic attacks (TIA) were excluded. We conducted initially a descriptive analysis of all variables; then, abi-variate analysis, and finally a logistic regression analyses to adjust for potential confounders in the relation between t-PA administration and mortality.

Title | : | A Fetal Study of Sciatic Nerve Division and Its Clinical Implications |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr Tanusri Debbarma || Dr Kaushik Debbarma |
Abstract:Sciatic nerve is a branch of the lumbo-sacral plexus that controls the neurological activities of thehamstrings and all the other muscles of the lower limb below the knee. Study on the course and variations of sciatic nerve and its division in developing foetuses on both lower limbs of 30 foetuses from (14 weeks to 40 weeks). Formalin fixed foetuses were dissected at Department Of Anatomy, RIMS, Imphal, after getting formal permisssion from the Institutional Ethics Committee, RIMS, Imphal. The highest incidence of sciatic nerve division was found at lower1/3 -70%, whereas upper 1/3 and middle 1/3 had 23.3% and 6.6% respectively. This might be useful for regional anaesthesia particularly in children as this is now the prefer route of anaesthesia for surgical intervention of the foot in children. Complete sciatic nerve blockade with local anaesthetics may fail even after multiple attempts if the sciatic nerve is present as separately sheathed bundle up to the lower level.

Abstract:Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GOAP) to facilitate poverty reduction through social mobilization and improvement of livelihoods of rural poor in Andhra Pradesh. It was observed by CEO of project that about 70 thousand deaths were registered per annum among the insured individuals in Andhra Pradesh Verbal autopsy is an investigation of train of events, circumstances, symptoms and signs of illness leading to the deaths. Objectives: 1. To investigate the causes of deaths among the insured persons of Prakasam District who were enrolled under DRDA. 2. To identify the risk factors commonly associated with the most common causes of deaths..

Title | : | Comparative Assessment Of Success Rate Of Indirect Pulp Treatment With 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate Disinfecting Solution, Calcium Hydroxide And Resin Modified Glass Ionomer Liner In Primary Teeth - A Prospective Study. |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr.Venkatesh Babu N S || Dr.Kavyashree B S || Dr.Amitha H A |
Abstract: Indirect pulp treatment (IPT) is a conservative and minimally invasive procedure, advocated more than 200 years ago. The study was done to assess the success rate of 2% chlorhexidine gluconate disinfecting solution (CHX) with calcium hydroxide (Dycal) and with resin modified glass ionomer liner (RMGIC) in IPT of primary molars. 60 primary molar teeth in children between the age 3 to 10 years were selected. Carious lesion approaching the pulp was removed followed by a dentin excavator to remove the caries at a site of "risk for pulp exposure".

Abstract: gallstone disease is one of the common problems affecting the gastrointestinal system. factors like obesity,diet, age,ethnic background play arole in development of gallstone diseases. in this study we evaluated the common age group affected by gallstone and common presenting symptoms and biochemical nature of the stone. Methodology: Fifty patients of clearly documented cases of Gallstone diseases admitted in the surgical units of SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre between March 2012 to June 2013 constitute the material of this study.

Abstract: Meckel Gruber Syndrome (MKS) is a rare and lethal autosomal recessive disorder .It is characterized by occipital encephalocele , bilateral dysplastic cystic kidneys, post axial polydactyly . We report a case of MKS which was diagnosed by antenatal ultrasound examination and confirmed later when aborted at 19 weeks of gestation by neonatal biopsy.
