Title | : | Radiation Exposure Intra-Operatively In Treating Humerus Shaft Fractures – A Comparative Study between Plating And Nailing Group |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sushruth S. Srinivas || Mahabala P. Rai |
Abstract: Introduction: C-Arm Use In Orthopaedic Surgery Is Increasing Rapidly As Surgery Transitions To Minimal-Access Surgery. With Less Direct Visualization, Surgery Is Being Conducted With Fluoroscopic Guidance. Fluoroscopy Is The Heart Of The Most Of Interventional Procedures, Where Prolong Lower Intensity Beam Is Used. The Number Of Orthopedic Procedures Requiring The Use Of Fluoroscopic Guidance Has Increased Over The Recent Years . It Is Now Accepted That Closed Operative Procedures Are The Treatment Of Choice In Many Types Of Complex Fractures Because Of Their Lower Infection And, Smaller Incision Wounds And Relatively Low Morbidity At Implant Removal. Interventional Procedures Considered The Medical Imaging Exposures, Imparting The Highest Radiation Doses To The Patients..........

Abstract: Breast is an organ which undergoes cyclical changes under the influence of various hormones throughout a woman's reproductive life. It was observed in some studies on breast disorders that more attention is devoted to the histopathological characteristics of the lesion with little discussion of the clinical perspectives. The vast majority of the lesions that occur in the breast are benign but in the present modern time the incidence of breast cancer is on the rise. Upto 30% of women suffer from some benign breast disorders and this compels them to seek treatment......

Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr.Jitendra Kumar || Dr.Naveen Sirohi || Dr.Nitin Tiwari |
Abstract: Purpose: To compare the efficacy and safety of treatment regimens with a combination of Latanoprost with Timolol versus Timolol in patients of primary open angle glaucoma.
Methods: This 12 months, randomized prospective clinical trial consisted of 96 eyes of 50 patients with primary open angle glaucoma(POAG) or ocular hypertension(OHT), categorised as Group A consisting 48 eyes and group B consisting 48 eyes. Patients of group A were given a Latanoprost 0.005% with timolol 0.5% once daily and group B were given timolol 0.5% twice daily.
