Abstract: Breast cancer a devastating illness for tens of thousands of women around the world. Most common non-skin cancer in women worldwide with an estimated 1.68 million new cases, breast cancer make it a leading cause of death in women aged 35 to 55 years. Accounts for 23% of all cancers in women and responsible for 20% of cancer related death in women. In India, it is the most common cancer reported from urban cancer registries, for about 30% of all cancers in females. Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is defined by the lack of expression of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor 2 (Her2neu) expression and associated with aggressive clinical course and poor prognosis.Patients with TNBC derive no benefit from molecularly targeted treatments such as endocrine therapy or trastuzumab, because they lack the appropriate targets for these....

Abstract: Keywords: Shear bond strength, Bioactive restorative material, Occlusal dentin, Thermocycling. Purpose: to evaluate theshear bond strength of differentbioactive restorations (Fuji IX GPglass-ionomer, Beautifill II Giomer and ACTIVA TMBIOACTIVE ) to occlusal sound dentin . Materials&Methods: sixty freshly extracted sound human molars were selected from diabetic patients aged 45-55 years. The occlusal enamel is removed to expose the occlusaldentin,The prepared specimens were randomly divided into three groups according to the type of applied restorative bioactive material (n=20 each):Each group received a cylinder....

Abstract: Background: Hemothorax is defined as a bleeding into the pleural cavity. Most of the hemothorax result from chest trauma. About 60% of polytraumas are associated with thoracic trauma and hemothorax is one of the most common pathologies encountered. There has been advances in critical care and trauma management, still chest trauma continues to be a major source of morbidity, mortality and hospitalization. Aims and Objective: To determine proportion of hemothorax according to age, gender and mechanism of trauma and to assess the outcome....

Abstract: Uterine arteriovenous malformation (AVM) or enhanced myometrial vascularity is a rare, life threatening cause of abnormal uterine bleeding. It can be congenital or acquired. Uterine AVM typically presents with abnormal uterine bleeding. An AVM is suspected when an abnormal uterine bleeding is followed by post cesarean section, miscarriage, dilatation and curettage. Diagnosis is made by imaging studies such as transvaginal sonography(TVS) with doppler or Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) pelvis with or without angiography or digital subtraction angiography(DSA). Treatment modality can be conservative or uterine artery embolization or hysterectomy. Here we report a case series of 8 cases, most of them presented with abnormal uterine bleeding and their various treatment modalities.

Abstract: Perforation of gut is one of a common surgical emergency encountered in clinical practice. Patients with gastric / duodenal perforations presents with severe peritonitis and septicemia. Upper GI perforations need immediate repair mostly by Omental patch closure. Following surgical repair of the perforation patients will be observed postoperatively regarding the improvement of vitals and return of normal bowel movements and improvements in biochemical parameters for planning of introduction of oral feeds. Previously it is considered that introduction of oral feeds may prolong the duration of naso gastric aspirations and may interfere with the healing of perforation site and also may lead to prolongation of post operative ileus.....

Abstract: Aim:This is a retrospective study done to evaluate the efficacy of cyclocryotherapy in the management of cases with very high intraocular pressure. Key words: Absolute glaucoma, neovascular glaucoma, ciliary body, intraocular pressure, cyclocryotherapy. Results: It was observed in our study that intraocular tension, pain, redness of eyes and watering were reduced in 90% of cases Conclusion: Cyclocryotherapy is very effective in cases of glaucoma that do not respond to other medical and surgical procedures.

Abstract: Aim: to determine the type and frequency of the cysts and tumors in the oral cavity and to assess their sex, age and site distribution. Materials and Methods: A Retrospective study was conducted in the Department of maxillofacial Surgery , Narayan Medical College and Hospital ,Sasaram,Bihar,India for 1 year. Total 55 patients who have sustained cysts and tumors were included in this study. The categories of age, sex and site with its frequency, which were documented in the department of oral medicine and radiology. Results: The study group consists of total 55 patients which were categorized underage, sex, and site of which 22(40%) patients were females and 33(60%) patients were males.
