Abstract: Background: The palatal eruption or the impaction of the maxillary permanent canine is an important chapter of oral pathology and represents frequently faced problems in clinical orthodontics. Objective: To study the comparison of dentoalveolar angular dimensions in patients with unilateral impacted canines, between impacted side and contralateral non impacted side. Material and methods: A cross-sectional study that included 42 CBCTs with unilaterally impacted maxillary canines was performed. Angulation was measured with respect to tangent to nasal floor. Of the total of 42 CBCT samples in the study, 15 were of males and 27 were of females.......

Abstract: Background:Hallux valgus is a pathology that directly affects the quality of life of patients. Dissatisfaction with the results of treatment with Hallux valgus suggests the search for surgical options that can improve the anatomical and biomechanical parameters of the forefoot. The purpose of the study was an X-ray analysis of the results of surgical treatment of hallux valgus deformity of the first toe using methods saving the metatarsophalangeal joint (osteotomy of the first metatarsal bone according to the method of Scarf, Austin, Bosh-Magnan)......

Abstract: Background: Oral health is an integral component in the general health of an individual and has become a major public health issue with a substantial social impact. Oral health knowledge is essential for proper oral hygiene and better oral health. More than the child, it is the influence of the parents that will determine the future of their children's oral health. Therefore a study was conducted to have a better understanding of the parent's knowledge regarding oral hygiene maintenance in children and to educate them on proper brushing habits. Materials and method: A Study was conducted in 800 parents of children who were between the ages of 0-9 years of which 760 completed questionnaires were included in the study. The questionnaire consists of 12 questions concerning parents awareness......

Abstract: Graphene and its derivatives, graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO), are 2D carbon-based materials.Graphene family and materials, with superior and remarkable mechanical, chemical, and biological properties, are able to grab appreciable attention on the path of researches seeking new materials for future promising biomedical applications. Moreover, they have been shown to influence the differentiation of stem cells and to improve properties of biomaterials. Grapheneanditsderivatives can be combined with several biomaterials used in regenerative, restorative dentistry and medicine. Abstract: Background:Moral education teachesdiversity, tolerance and mutual respect to an individual. The aim of the present study wasto assess the moral development in dental students based on Kohlberg's theory (Heinz dilemma) and Moral Development Scale for Professionals (MDSP). Methodology: Students, both under graduates and post graduates, studying in one of the dental colleges in south-east part of India were recruited into the present cross sectional study. The participants were given scenarios of Heinz dilemma and the explanations assessed for the stage of moral development. Additionally, a 12 item self-report MDSP was employed to grade the participants quantitatively. Results: There was a statistical significance difference in distribution of participants in the stages (p=0.04) and score range (p=0.001), when the level of moral development was assessed based on Heinz dilemma and MDSP respectively.......

Abstract: Congenital aural atresia is a developmental defect characterised by absence or hypoplasia of external auditory canal, middle ear and occasionally the inner ear. The most important surgical goal in rehabilitation of congenital aural atresia include reestablishment of hearing by restoring the normal sound-conducting mechanism of the ear and creation of a clean, well-epithelialized, patent external auditory canal. However, the high frequency of postoperative external ear canal stenosis and unsatisfactory hearing results remains a significant challenge. Conventional stentingmaterials like sponges or gauze can be used effectively to prevent restenosis of the externalauditory canal....
