Abstract: Introduction: Needle stick injuries (NSI) form an important occupational hazard among the healthcare workers (HCWs). In developing countries, including India, the situation is worse and occupational safety of HCWs remains a neglected issue. Therefore, the present study was conducted to assess the awareness of needle stick injury, attitude and practices of its preventive measures among HCWs in order to implement the intervention programs appropriately in our institution........

Abstract: Background: The success of the endodontictherapymainlydepends on the obturation of root canal system. Hence, the sterility of the materialused for obturation is of utmost importance. Gutta percha is one of the mostcommonlyusedfillingmaterial. Eventhough gutta perchaconescomes in pre-sterilizedboxes,it caneasilygetcontaminatedduring handling. This elicits the need of a rapid and effective method of disinfection of gutta percha. This study aimed to assess the surface topography of gutta percha after rapid disinfection using 5% sodium hypochlorite, 70microgram per milliliter silver nanoparticle solution and 80% aloe vera gel using scanning electron microscope.......

Abstract: Background: Extraction of impacted mandibular third molars is the mostfrequent procedure performed by oral surgeons. This proceduremay be associated with considerable postoperative complicationsincluding pain, trismus, edema, surgical siteinfection as well as alveolar osteitis (AO). Platelet-rich fibrin is characterized by the slow polymerizationduring its preparation that generates a fibrin network very similarto the natural one that enhances cell migration and proliferation. Materials and Methods: The aim of this article is to investigated the effect of PRF on lower third molar extraction. Pain, swelling, trismus, alveolar osteitis (AO), and osteoblastic activity were extracted to evaluate the effect of PRF. Also, narrative review........

Abstract: Introduction: Primary postpartum haemorrhage is defined as excessive bleeding from genital tract after delivery of fetus. It is divided into primary postpartum haemorrhage which is blood loss >500ml in first 24 hrs after delivery and secondary postpartum haemorrhage, which is defined as excessive loss at any time after 24 hrs to 42 days of puerperium. Objective: To determine the frequency of causes of primary postpartum haemorrhage in tertiary care hospital........

Abstract: Primary testicular lymphoma (PTL) is a rare form of extranodal lymphoma, this neoplasm is the most common malignant tumor of the testis in the elderly age, and the majority of cases are histologically diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), accounting for 80% to 98% of non hodgkin lymphoma. Patients with primary testicular DLBCL show a continuously high risk of recurrence with no plateau in the survival curves and a tendency to involve other extranodal sites, especially the central nervous system and the contralateral testis. We report a rare and uncommon presentation of a primary testicular diffuse B cell lymphoma in young patient

Abstract: This study compared clinical and radiographic outcome of endodontic surgery with different retrograde filling materials such as ENDOCEM ZR and MTA ANGELUS.. Method: Flap elevation and peri apical curettage was done. Root-end preparation was done and filled with materials such as Mineral Trioxide Aggregate Angelus. After whole procedure patients were recalled to assess the clinical and radiographic signs of post operative healing. Result: MTA Angelus showed better results than Endocem Zr.

Abstract: Aim: To evaluate the clinical and radiographic response of pulp –dentin complex after pulp capping with various materials. Methods:Informed consent was obtained after explaining the experimental rationale, clinical procedures and possible complications of the procedure. All teeth exhibiting initial deep dental caries and no prior restorations was considered. The involved tooth was isolated with a rubber dam under local anesthesia and disinfected with 0.2% chlorhexidine solution. Gross carious enamel and dentin was removed using high speed round diamond or carbide bur.Haemostasis was achieved with a cotton pellet wet with Sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide placed on the exposure site. After haemostasis, the teeth were divided into two experimental groups. Group......

Abstract: Objective
Continuous intrapartum CTG monitoring is the norm in Sohar Hospital to reduce fetal neurologic injury due to fetal hypoxia, neonatal deaths and still birth.Modest interobserver variation in CTG interpretation was observed due to various guidelines. The primary objective of this study was to identify and reduce errors, variabilities in CTG interpretationbased on visual patterns and strengthen the knowledge by implementing the physiology guideline of CTG interpretation 2018 which focuses on recognition of cycling, conversion patterns, hypoxic patterns. eventually reducing unnecessary obstetric intervention and expediting delivery when indicated.
