Abstract: Background First trimester miscarriage is a Common occurrence in obstetric practice. It is one of the common reasons for Emergency room visits in early pregnancy. Sub chorionic haematomas was considered as a prognostic factor. In this study we were looking into this aspect and also pregnancy and neonatal out come. Materials and Methods: The study is for a period of 18 months from January 2021 to June 2022 and is designed as a prospective observational study in the obstetrics and gynecology department at KIMS HEALTH Trivandrum, Kerala. Patients of first trimester vaginal......

Abstract: Asthma varies considerably across the life course. Childhood asthma severity is associated with duration of asthma symptoms, medication use, lung function, low socioeconomic status, racial/ethnic minorities, and a neutrophilic phenotype. Adult onset disease is associated with more respiratory symptoms and asthma medication use despite higher prebronchodilator FEV1/FVC. There is less quiescent disease in adult onset asthma and it appears to be less stable than childhood-onset disease with more relapses and less remissions. Asthma in older children is characterised....

Abstract: Orofacial clefts are among the most common congenital craniofacial malformations and may be associated with other birth defects. However, the proportion and type of additional anomalies vary greatly between studies. Orofacial clefts are among the most common congenital malformations of the craniofacial region, which include cleft palate only (CP) and cleft lip with or without palate (CL/P). Congenital anomalies, defined as abnormalities of structure, function, or metabolism that are present at birth, are a major public health concern due to their life threatening nature.....

Abstract: Bronchiolitis associated with systemic diseases is essentially found in Gougerot-Sjögren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory diseases of the digestive tract, its clinical presentation is sometimes very similar to that of asthma, making it a major differential diagnosis. Bronchiolitis can be cellular, often lymphomonocytic, sometimes associated with lymphoid follicles, as in Gougerot-Sjögren's syndrome; it can also be constrictive, with peribronchiolar fibrose, notably in rheumatoid arthritis, and which has a poorer prognosis, likely to progress to chronic respiratory......

Abstract: Background: Caesarean section is one of the most commonly performed major surgical procedures worldwide. Many variations in the technique of caesarean section have been devised making the operation more efficient, shortening the operative time, decreasing the risk of adverse effects and decreasing postoperative morbidity and duration of hospital stay. Aim: To find out better method of uterus repair during caesarean delivery. Methods: A prospective, randomized controlled study, 200 pregnant women with elective indication for caesarean delivery was.....

Abstract: Background: Abdominal hysterectomy (AH) is one of the most common gynaecological surgical procedures performed worldwide in the treatment of benign gynaecological diseases. During the past few years, a variety of energy based techniques for vessel ligation have been developed. LigaSure has the potential to replace the use of conventional suture ligature within a broad range of surgical procedures, also including removal of the uterus Aim: To compare the efficiency and safety of LigaSure vessel sealing system for securing pedicles during abdominal hysterectomy with conventional method of securing the pedicles by suture ligation. Methods: This was a comparative study done in women undergoing abdominal hysterectomy in Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, SMS Medical College and attached groups of hospitals, Jaipur from November 2022 to April 2023......

Abstract: Background: Acne is the most common skin disease which is estimated to affect 9.4% of the global population, making it the eighth most prevalent disease worldwide. Adolescents and young adults between ages 12 and 24 tend to be the most affected group. About 12% of men and 3 %of men may still have acne even in their 40s. Acne vulgaris is the most common chronic inflammatory disease and is characterized by papules, pustules, comedones and nodules, which place a heavy emotional and psychological burden on patients that may be far worse than the physical impact......

Abstract: Background: Termination of pregnancy in 2nd trimester is one of the greatest challenges in modern obstetrics practice and is riskier than during 1st trimester. In our study, we aimed at assessing the effectiveness and safety of intracervical foleys catheter with vaginal misoprostol and comparing it with vaginal misoprostol for mid trimester abortion in patients with previous cesarean. Material and Methods: A hospital based comparative study was conducted on 100 women with period of gestation 13 to 20 weeks for termination......

Abstract: The septate gallbladder is a rare affection with congenital or inflammatory origin. It may remain asymptomatic and be discovered incidentally by radiology, revealed by hepatic colic or complicated by cholecystitis. We report the case of a 56-year-old woman known to have a vesicular diaphragm, admitted to emergency with lithiasis cholecystitis and undergoing cholecystectomy. In this article, we discuss the clinical and ultrasound carecteristics of this pathology, while demonstrating the value of surgery before complications arise.

Abstract: Weber Christian disease (WCD) or idiopathic lobular panniculitis is a rare condition of unknown etiology, characterized by recurrent inflammation of subcutaneous adipose tissue, it mainly affects adults with female predominance [1]. WCD is a nonspecific clinical entity that remains a subject of debate and its evolution is unpredictable, it is a diagnosis of exclusion. It manifests clinically with recurrent fever outbreaks and painful subcutaneous nodules, systemic manifestations of WCD frequently affects the liver, bone, kidneys, sporadically serous, spleen and lungs. It could be life-threatening and it is considered a therapeutic challenge for clinicians. We report a case of Weber Christian disease diagnose at the pulmonology department during the exploration of respiratory pathology....

Abstract: Background: Superficial mycoses are a kind of fungal infection that affects keratinized tissues, most often the stratum corneum of the skin and its appendages, such as the nails and hair. These infections can be caused by dermatophytes, non dermatophytic-moulds, or candida species in rare cases. Skin lesions are usually in an irregular ring form, itchy with central clearing. However, the precise levels of the magnitude of the problems is not known. Hence the current study was undertaken......
