Abstract: A lung cavity is a gas-filled area of the lung in the center of a nodule or area of consolidation which may be observed clinically by use of plain chest radiography or computed tomography [1]. Several pathological processes may results in cavitary lung disease, such as necrotic process which can be suppurative, caseous and ischemic necrosis, vasculitis, cystic dilatation of lung structures, displacement of lung tissue by cystic structures and high-pressure traumas [2]. Some diseases are more commonly associated

Abstract: Introduction: In the current era, there is widespread enthusiasm towards botanical agents and natural remedies for treating maladies. Acne is a common inflammatory disorder seen among adolescent age groups. Acne vulgaris is the main cause of pimples and affects over 80% of teenagers. Scarring can remain for life and act like a visible reminder of the disease. Aloe vera is one of the commonly used natural remedies for skin disorders since the gel-like components of the plant help to heal the skin from various minor ailments. Aloe vera can be used to lighten acne scars........

Abstract: The liver plays a very important role in maintenance of glucose homeostasis in the body, hence disorders of the liver are usually associated with varying degrees of glucose abnormalities, these ranges from glucose intolerance to overt diabetes mellitus (DM) . Overt Diabetes Mellitus has been reported in about 30% of patients with cirrhosis of the liver and glucose intolerance in about 96% of the patients. Some of the aetiopathogenic factors involved include; hyperinsulinaemia with insulin resistance from decrease hepatic clearance, impair insulin secretion from pancreatic β cells, hepatitis C viral infection, hepatic inflammation, hypoxia/hypoxia inducible factors, reduce incretin effect and effect of medications used in treatment of viral induced liver disease.....

Abstract: Aim: The aim of this in-vitro study was to compare the accuracy between conventional and digital impression using two different materials of scan body. Methodology: A printed resin model of a completely edentulous mandible was constructed then A complete denture was made on the printed resin model following the conventional methods. The resin cast was then modified and prepared to receive four implants at the second premolar and the lateral areas bilaterally. The first group (Group 1) used the printed resin model screwed on it PEEK scan bodies and the second group (Group 2) used the printed resin model screwed on it titanium.....

Abstract: Scrub typhus is an important unrecognised cause for undifferentiated acute febrile illness in India. Illness may vary from mild and self-limiting to fatal disease. We report here a case of 27 year old primigravida at 39+ weeks of pregnancy referred to our centre in view of fever since 1 week and thrombocytopenia. She was diagnosed as scrub typhus positive by serum immunofluorescent assay. She was stabilised and taken up for caesarean section for obstetric reasons. Vertical transmission was noticed in this case. She was successfully treated with azithromycin. Scrub typhus should always be listed in differential diagnosis of undifferentiated acute febrile illness with thrombocytopenia.

Abstract: Context: Mucormycosis is being looked upon as one of the most dreadful complications during the pandemic of COVID-19. The co-existing immunosuppression, diabetes mellitus, and nosocomial infections are risk factors for the occurrence of mucormycosis in COVID-19 patients. The infection spreads rapidly and has a high mortality rate. The histopathologist has a key role in the early diagnosis of mucormycosis. The presence of characteristic hyphae, extensive angioinvasion with resultant vessel thrombosis, and tissue necrosis is the pathological hallmark of mucormycosis infections. The study was performed to study histomorphology of infection in COVID-19 associated rhinocerebral mucormycosis.....

Abstract: Angioleiomyoma is a solitary smooth muscle cell tumour arising from the media of arteries and veins. We present a case of a 66-year-old woman who presented a left intercostal neuralgia in opposite to the D10-D11 intercostal space resisting to symptomatic treatment. A CT scan plus an MRI revealed an oval nodular formation, hyposignal T1 and a discrete hypersignal T2, centred in arch of the 10th left rib. After a thoracic surgery, Immunohistological studies added to a anatopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of angioleiomyoma.

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Wilms tumor is the most common renal malignancy in children worldwide affecting 1 in 10,000 before the age of 15 years. Most are diagnosed before the age of 5, with a peak incidence at 2-3 years.Prognosis has been improved dramatically during last few decades due to successful sequential advances in chemotherapy. METHODS: It is an ambispectiveobservational study. Westudied the relationship of tumor volume after preoperative chemotherapy (TVAPQ) and before preoperative chemotherapy (TVBPQ) with overall survival of pediatric patients with wilms tumor. Clinical, histological and volumetric data were collected from the medical records and patients were followed.....

Abstract: Introduction: Fracture of shaft of humerus is a common fracture of the upper limb which consists of 1- 3% of all fractures. Diaphyseal fractures of humerus treated with anterior bridge plating are showing superior results in view of post-operative pain and union time. In our study we have evaluated the clinical, radiological, and functional outcome of such fractures in 15 patients, all of them were managed with dynamic compression plate or limited contact dynamic compression platting over an average follow up period of 12 months. Though open reduction and plating technique of humerus shaft fracture is gold standard and widely used in clinical practice, this technique also gives good outcome. Other.....

Abstract: Aim and background: This study aimed to assess and compare the remineralization potential of Fluoridated (Tricalcium phosphate paste) and non-fluoridated (Calcium sucrose phosphate paste) toothpastes using the Vickers hardness tester. Materials and methods: Sixty enamel samples were prepared by embedding the crown of extracted or exfoliated primary teeth in acrylic resin blocks leaving the buccal surface exposed. After developing the initial caries lesions using 37% phosphoric acid gel for 3 minutes, the samples were divided into three groups (n = 20). Samples in Group A were treated with fluoridated (Clinpro 3M ESPE) and in Group B with non-fluoridated (Enafix) calcium phosphate toothpaste. The control.....

Abstract: The main objective of the current in-vitro study is to compare the passive fit of an implant supported framework fabricated using conventional open tray impression versus the digital impression for 6 parallel implants restoring edentulous maxilla. Materials and Methods: Six implants will be installed in the epoxy edentulous cast using trial denture base set up of teeth. All implants will be installed using dental surveyor to ensure parallelism of all 6 implants, installed in central, canine, and second premolar areas bilaterally. In this invitro study two frameworks will be fabricated; in group 1 a casted conventional framework using a conventional open tray impression,.....
