Abstract: The decision-to-delivery interval (DDI) is defined as the interval in minutes from the date and time of decision to carry out Caesarean section to the date and time of delivery of the baby. It is not synonymous with decision-to-incision time where the goal of the birth of a baby is yet to be achieved. A decision-to-delivery interval of 30 minutes for emergency Caesarean section has been widely recommended, but there is little evidence to support it. Inability to meet this target has been the basis for medico-legal suits. The '30 minute rule' for a DDI takes its origin from the Guidelines to perinatal care jointly developed by the American Academy of Paediatrics and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Our objective in this study was to find out the time between decision-delivery interval and perinatal outcome of emergency caesarean section at a tertiary care institution in Sri Ramachandra university, Chennai.

Abstract: Skin cancers are increasing worldwide in last few decades. Mainly occurs in sun light exposed areas due to UVB rays. Though Indians having low incidence of skin malignancies non melanoma skin cancers are in raising trend. Basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer and malignant melanoma are the common cutaneous malignancies potential in their ascending order. In India squamous cell ca is more common than BCC. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment not only reduces the morbidity and also provides good quality of life and survival of the individual.

Abstract: High Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT) which provides minute structural details in the temporal bone is very important preoperative radiological investigation for CSOM cases. This study was planned to investigate the usefulness of a preoperative high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) scan in depicting the status of ossicles in chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) of attico antral disease and also to compare the correspondence between preoperative CT findings and intraoperative ossicular chain status in these patients . 60 patients of all age groups suffering with CSOM of attico antral disease are included in the study. HRCT scanning was done for all patients before surgical exploration of the middle ear and mastoid. The sensitivity and specificity of preoperative HRCT in our study for diagnosing erosion of malleus were 100% and 98% respectively; and for erosion of incus..........
