Abstract: Aim of the study was to find out relationship of temporomandibular joint dysfunction with forward head posture and severity in neck pain in patients with neck pain temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Methodology: non experimental correlation study, Sample Size- 71 subjects with neck pain, forward head posture and symptoms of temporomandibular dysfunction. Temporomandibular dysfuction was recorded using Modified Clinical Dysfunction Index, Modify Clinical Dysfunction Index (DI) was used for measuring dysfunction associated with temporomandibular joint, Postural assessment grid and goniometer was used to take all mandibular measurements and Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was used to measure subjective neck pain intensity. Data Analysis: Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis was used to find the correlations of neck inclination angle (NIA) with age.....

Abstract: Background: Proper hand hygiene is the single most important, simplest, and least expensive means of reducing the prevalence of Health care associated infections and the spread of antimicrobial resistance. The purpose of this project was to observe compliance of hand hygiene, study improvement in hang hygiene compliance and infection control rate improvement following educational intervention Materials and Methods: This was a hand hygiene program implemented with the hopes of improving hand hygiene and decreasing hospital-associated infection rates. A multidisciplinary group developed a hospital supported campaign. Opportunities for hand hygiene were observed during 2 periods, pre campaign and post campaign. The frequency of hospital-associated infection in the burns ward was tracked over time by review of records pre and post campaign Results: Pre campaign the compliance for hand hygiene was 27.09%. The staff was educated regarding importance of hand hygiene and effective....

Abstract: The nasopalatine duct cyst also termed as incisive canal cyst. The main aim of this report is to give an overview of the surgical technique and procedure that is done in this case as most of the cyst is removed by the palatal approach. We present a 33 year old male with incisive canal cyst. Radiographic shows globular shape radiolucency. No sign of recurrence after the surgical procedure.

Abstract: Background: Systemic Hypertension is a chronic medical condition with various causes which could be primary or secondary. There are various risk factors for Hypertension. The early screening in patients with risk factors is essential for diagnosis and prevention of complications associated with Hypertension. Hypertension is one of the most common worldwide diseases afflicting humans and is a major risk factor for stroke, myocardial infarction, vascular disease, and chronic kidney disease. Complications of hypertension are clinical outcomes that result from persistent elevation of blood pressure.(9)Hypertension is a risk factor for all clinical manifestations of atherosclerosis since it is a risk factor for atherosclerosis itself.(10).I t is an independent predisposing factor for heart failure,(11) coronary artery disease,(12) stroke,(9) renal disease, and peripheral arterial disease. It is the most important risk factor.....

Abstract: Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, inflammatory, autoimmune disease of unknown etiology affecting approximately 1% of the world population, 0.75% in India and 0.2% in Manipur. The hallmark swelling, bony erosions and synovial thickening reflect the underlying inflammatory and auto immune processes of RA. Anemiais one of the most frequent extra-articular manifestations in RA with a prevalence in RA of 33%- 60% and also correlates with disease activity. Therefore, we conducted this study to determine the prevalence of anaemia in RA patients in Manipur and to correlate with disease activity. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, Manipur from 2018 to 2020. 236RA patientsabove 18 years of age who attendedRheumatology OPD,Medicine OPD or admitted in the General Medicine wards were enrolled.Complete hemogram and other related blood investigations were studied.....

Abstract: Aim – To investigate the levels of burnout and related demographic factors – age, gender, and marital status among dentists in Bulgaria.Material and Methods–A self-administered questionnaire consisting of 20 items regarding socio-demographic characteristics, work environment factors and lifestyle patterns was piloted on a random sample of 150 dentists (response rate=90.6%, n=136), practicing in the capital of Republic of Bulgaria – Sofia. To assess the levels of burnout aspects – emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment – the standard instrument MBI-HSS was used. Results – Females demonstrated lower levels of emotional exhaustion compared to males. Higher levelsof emotional exhaustion were registered among 41-55-year olds and single dentists. Very high levels....

Abstract: Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) remains the major cause of mortality and morbidity in the entire world population despite therapeutic advances that control many risk factors. Lipid profile is regarded as an important factor in the development of coronary heart disease. There have been numerous studies confirming the association of hyperlipidemias with coronary heart disease in most of the Western as well as Asian countries of the world. We have very few data on the relation between CHD and lipid profile. Aim of the study: The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of abnormal lipid levels and its association with coronary heart disease. Methods: This comparative...
